Very good generic chain restaurant Mexican-ish restaurant. Would have been GREAT if they had not sat us 8 feet from 2 constantly... swinging kitchen doors. Will likely look for a more authentic experience in Rapid in the future. Read more

For those that follow my reviews I have to share this one. We are now in South Dakota and really wanted some authentic Mexican... food. Not many options out here. In any event we were told to go to ?Que Pasas? so we did. NEVER AGAIN! We then decided to justgo to a chain restaurant and we selected this place ?On the Boarder?. Great decision. We were here on 5.09.22 around 8pm. Ourvery attentive server, Maddy, was definitely on it. The place was clean, not packed probably because of the time and the foodwas actually very good. We had ordered there version of the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer, two entrees, the carne asada anda 3 taco meal with one large watermelon margarita and 2 large beers. Our total was still less than what we paid at the otherplace including Maddy?s tip. I walked in to this restaurant and didn?t expect all that we received. I?m still looking for theauthentic real deal but until or if I ever find it out here we will continue to go to On the Boarder. Heads up, when they saysomething is spicy, they are not exaggerating. I have absolutely no complaints as the food was amazing!!! The server Nikki was a sweetheart and explained all options with... major descriptions. The steak was super juicy and flavorful! Food was good. Friendly service. Had the chicken burrito with sour cream sauce. Very good. Was disappointed in how dirty the... floor was. Had to step over food on the floor to get in to our booth. Servers and hostess just walk right through it. Chips andsalsa were yummmmyy!!! Read more
