I had an amazing time, it was my girlfriend's birthday. We went with a couple of her friends. Mick was our server he went above... and beyond. A couple of moments that stuck out to me was my girlfriend wanted a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Without even askingMick immediately brought out three samples for her to try. The Pony Room provided a fantastic upscale casual, but very intimate and romantic experience. They have a mix of indoor and... outdoor seating, all of which are nice. We sat in the outdoor courtyard patio which had a cute little fountain in the middle. We had a bunch of other people around us, but it still felt intimate and we weren't hearing everybody else talking. Waitstaff was fantastic and on top of everything throughout the meal. I never had to ask for more water, silverware, or anythingelse. In fact, they brought stuff to us we didn't know we would need... which led to a funny interaction about a spoon. Wehad cocktails, an appetizer, an entree each, and dessert. The cocktails were great and our waiter checked to make sure that weenjoyed them. For the appetizer, we got the esquite, a corn dish. It needed a little lime to make it great, but it wasreally good before. I got the squash blossom quesadilla and my girlfriend got the steak frites. Both were fantastic and Iwould absolutely recommend them. A little fresh salsa would be a nice addition to the quesadilla, but it was something Iwould absolutely get again. For dessert, we got the peach tartin. We substituted vanilla ice cream for the caramel ice creamand it was a perfect end to the meal. It wasn't too sweet and was a really nice refreshing summer or fall dessert. I wouldabsolutely recommend the Pony Room for a special occasion or a nice date night. Read more
Their Rancho Burger was amazing the first time we had it, but wasn't as great the second time! The drinks, salads (stonefruit, I... think) and fries are also good. Dessert just okay (maybe the pony cake). We didn't have a reservation and they were fullybooked, but they let us sit at the bar. Oddly, very few tables filled up in the 90 minutes we were there. So classy. Lunch was exceptional. Great food, great service. Lots of vegan friendly options. The vegan burger tasted great...... Not your basic black bean burger. Build your own bowls, plenty of food.. Now, if you have to ask how much it costs, you don'twant to go. They earn the extra 20% at least. Read more
I?d recommend making a reservation in advance on open table. The menu had changed quite a bit since I was last here. The risotto... was the best part of the meal. I wasn?t too keen on the lamb sauces/flavoring. The steak frites was nicely executed. Thehacienda drink was delicious. The snickerdoodle cookie was delicious and great end to my meal. Great ambiance! Very pleasant place for a date or lunch with friends. The menu is not long though the food is good. Good size... portions and the sevice is excellent! The prices are on the high side although the whole experience is worth it. Read more
I guess the most accurate review would be, it's basically exactly what you expect. The food is very very good and very... expensive. Given the location, there's a lot of wealthy people showing off exactly how wealthy they are. Read more
