Reviews for Nick & G's Restaurant in Rancho Santa Fe, CA
Excellent dinner experience! They have a beautifully equipped, small patio to feel the night breeze. Lamb and scallop dishes... were amazing as well as service. Even though we dined literary 5 mins before closing time, they took care of us wonderfully.Highly recommended. Read more
Looking for an upscale date night destination? Well Nick & G’s is worthy of your consideration. The food was good, as was the... ambiance and service. @nickandgs typically offers live music on Saturday nights, so plan accordingly if that appeals toyou. Our Review Team had only positives to share about their “Meatballs di Formaggio”appetizer, “Grilled ChickenAlfredo” and “Summer Vegetable Risotto” entrees, and “Profiteroles” and “Butterscotch Bread Pudding” desserts. While our meals weren’t inexpensive, our final bill was less than expected. Although this portion of Rancho Santa Fe is quiteconducive to strolling with your someone special, keep in mind that RSF tends to roll up their sidewalks pretty early so factorthat into your plans. And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystake Read more
I live in the area and have given at Nick and G's my business many times over the years. It's finally time to give newcomers an... honest opinion and provide a general warning to those considering dining there: It isn't just that the food is absolutelymediocre--it is. It isn't just that the staff makes you feel like they're doing you a favor by serving you food andbeverages--they do. And it isn't just that the prices are ridiculously high--they are. The latest and saddest incident for mewas when I was eating the "catch of the day" (absolutely fishy and almost inedible) and found a large piece of plastic in mydish. Yes. Honestly there's better fine dining to be had at most budget fast casual restaurant chains. I honestly don't thinkthe people at Nick and G's care about the experience or their patrons in general. Take your money elsewhere and get a muchbetter experience. Read more
Best Steak in San Diego I’ve ever had! Or it’s , actually in Rancho Santa Fe.. definitely a 5 star experience! I highly... recommend this family establishment. I forgot to add the calamari! Very well made! Honestly this restaurant deserves to beMichelin rated! For sure a long time customer! Check out my meal! Read more
It was solid all the way around - food, service, and atmosphere.....but..... I was hoping for a little "more". I can get... flatbreads, "crispy" brussel sprouts, and risotto anywhere. Don't get me wrong - everything we tried tasted REALLY good, butnothing was unique. Nick and G's has the location. It has the vibe. It has the client base. There's a need for somethingawesome. Go out on a limb. Get creative. Change things up. Take a chance and take us for a ride. Read more

Good American restaurant in the middle of rancho Santa Fe. There is a bar with love music but the dining room is quiet. Food is... very good and I enjoyed my seafood pasta. The bed pudding was good too Read more
It felt like we were driving through the neighborhood in Rancho Santa Fe but when we reached the restaurant it was super cute.... We were a group of 8 and we had requested outside seating. While they have a cute and cozy little patio, we were given a tablekind of far down the side walk, by the intersection. The hostess was not friendly when I asked about alternate seating, maybeinside the restaurant. But then a minute later when my friend asked again, we were given the perfect corner seating inside therestaurant. And from that moment on, the whole experience was absolutely wonderful. We had the best service I have everexperienced. Our server was super friendly, attentive and most helpful. The spicy Rancho margarita, flower child and barrel agedManhattan were all delicious. The bell pepper and goat cheese flatbread, crispy Brussels sprouts and fried calamari steak wereyummy! And so were all our salads/entrees… antipasto salad, Belgian endive and Asian pear, the filet mignon, sea bass (freshcatch), chicken Alfredo without chicken, soup of the day. The restaurant was very accommodating of vegetarian diets and werewilling to make certain menu items vegetarian. We were celebrating two milestone birthdays and they brought out free dessertswith candles on top of what we ordered. Yummiest crème brûlée and bread pudding and carrot cake and brownies. What awonderful evening it was! This restaurant is a great find and we will definitely visit again. Read more
