Whenever I am craving Hawaiian food, this is the first place that comes to mind. My husband would usually get their specials and... I would normally get their Loco Moco (which was always good!) Today though, we decided to order both specials, we ended up witha plate of Kalbi and Kakani chicken. The kakani chicken was moist, flavorful and beautifully cooked. The kalbi was fire!???? Sojuicy and it paired well with their macaroni side. Overall, it was a great meal. We always have leftovers because their portionsare generous. 5 stars for the service too. Came here for lunch with the homie. He had the kakani chicken I had katsu and we split portions so we could try both. Katsu was... very thin and all batter kakani was pretty good, rice was very hard and breaking apart with each scoop, and the mac salad wasdef not good. We were having our conversations about hawaiin bbq and I guess the owner walks by and decided to jump into ourconversation saying it's not hawaiin bbq its plate lunch and correcting me each time I tell him it's the same thing at L&Lhawaiin bbq. I gave him a attitude telling him I'm trying to enjoy my food and not here for a damn history listen then he walksaway. Dude needs to shut up and worry about himself, I thought it was a regular patron at first but it was not. Food was definitely great and spot on! Introduced my co-worker to Hawaiian BBQ and this place was the perfect selection to pop... his cherry. Really friendly staff, was decently busy on a Friday evening. Only complaint is the portions (not of the Loco Moco) were a... little small for the price. We had the Udon noodle stir fry, the pork tater tots and the large size of Loco Moco. Flavors weregreat! Read more
Good food, just wish there were some steamed or sauteed vegetables to go along with the meal instead of the layer of uncooked... cabbage. Wish they had actual dishes for dine-in, instead of Styrofoam boxes. Still, I like it and go regularly. Read more
