Reviews for China Dragon in Ramsey, MN
Back when I went here a lot more often, the lady working here started to ask me if I was getting my usual order when she saw me... walk in haha ???? They're friendly. The food is made fresh, stays hot for what feels like a really long time, and usually itmicrowaves well if you save some for later. If you're saving the wontons for later though I recommend air fryer, not microwave,or they get more tough and rubbery textured. Air fryer for like three minutes and they're like new, just maybe slightly morecrunchy. Never soggy either way. Very good chicken no matter the dish it's in. Wait times estimated on doordash are alwayslonger than it actually takes if you place it for pickup. You can also order directly through the location's website or call inan order and pay when you get there; very convenient. Read more
I decided to try a new Chinese place for a special night. Overall I was disappointed in my pickup order, and was expecting much... better food based on the favorable reviews and the prices. I paid over $30 for 2 entrees, one with ?fried? rice, and an order ofcream cheese wontons. The wontons were good, but the rest of the food not so much. The sesame chicken was barely ok but too muchbreading and it was sitting in over 1/2? of oil in the bottom of the container and most of the pieces were soggy. I poured theoil out before giving to the person it was ordered for. The ?fried?rice was nothing more than yellow colored rice with a fewpeas and tiny carrot pieces and specks of onions. The schezwan beef was the worst. There was nothing schezwan about it, as faras flavor. The strongest flavor was of oil, and I don?t know what kind but it didn?t taste good at all. The beef must have beencheap and soaked in oil to make it tender because it had NO texture of beef, it was just slimy from oil. The vegetables in itwere nothing special, didn?t seem fresh. The sauce was terrible. It wasn?t spicy at all and the taste was unrecognizable exceptfor the oil again. I guarantee you the oil they use is very cheap, probably canola. They need to cut back on the oil and addsome flavor and good spices. A lot of these reviews have got to be fake, because I can?t believe there would be many ravingreviews for their food. I won?t be returning. Very disappointed. Read more
The restaurant's food was very good! I was on China dragon's website, the order goes through doordash. I received a message... from Wells Fargo stating that the transaction was charged 3 separate times and they are refusing to pay it because it's going toa fraud account. I called and spoke to the manager. I asked for a receipt because I never received one. The manager told meshe could not give me one. Very frustrated being charged 3 times. The original price when I was checking out online was $35 lessthan what I was actually charged after the delivery.I was charged a $117 3 times. This is an update, an hour later they triedcharging my account 2 more times. The 1st transaction went through so why they tried 4 more times I don't know. I also spokewith the delivery driver to make sure that he picked up the tip that was left for him on the front porch. So I overpaid By alot. I will never everorder anything that goes through doordash. Read more
We have tried 5 other Chinese restaurants in the area with not good luck, until we found this place! The food here is amazing,... best in the twin cities suburbs we have found. Big portion sizes for their take out, we got two nights worth of meals in eachcontainer. The wontons are soft with a nice crunch. We got the orange chicken, the happy family from the chefs special, and thethicker noodles, are all so tasty. Egg drop soup is in a huge container too. All the food was steaming hot when we got home 45minutes later, they did a good job packaging and preparing the food. I think I found our new favorite Chinese Restaurant. If youare looking for a good one in the area, try this one! Read more
This is a great take out Chinese place. Food is always tasty and fresh. Prices are very reasonable with good options. If you are... looking for some quick and tasty Chinese food this is the place to go. The place is clean and has an open workspace so you canwatch them cook it if you want to. They are also very prompt and quick and they?re cooking. The only reason for four-star is Iwish they had a little bit more comfortable place to sit and eat. But that is not what they seem to be geared for and that?s OK. Read more
I was surprised to see all my Chicken Fried Rice was not taken out of a precooked bin. The wok was fired up and ingredients... placed in. A fresh cook! Of course some ingredients must be prepped ahead. But the frying was done fresh and tasted great. Read more
First time here today. I hesitate with Chinese places because a lot of places taste different. China Dragon will be my go to for... Chinese food in the Anoka area! I ordered beef w/ broccoli and beef lo mein. It was PERFECT! Lately my experiences with Chineserestaurants have been salty lo mein, and I am sooo happy that China Dragon?s lo mein is not salty. I am super satisfied! Theirhot chili oil is actual spicy which is another plus! Most places? chili oil has no spice to it. Oh, and their beef is perfectlycooked! I love it! Perfect and crunchy broccoli too! Read more
Customer service was good, but the food was cold. I ordered sweet & sour chicken with 2 egg rolls & white rice. Got home & it?s... cold. My egg rolls were stale, the rice was kind of hard, & my chicken was over done. I also was cutting what I thought was abig piece of chicken & to my surprise it was shrimp. Luckily I am not allergic, but if I was it could?ve been bad. I should justwent to china dragon in elk River. Their food is always warm and perfect. Read more
