My third visit to Vic?s. I ordered the veal parmigiana this time and my wife got a pizza and my daughter ordered the kids... fettuccini Alfredo. My wife loved her pizza with the crispy crust. The garlic knots were delicious. My parmigiana was great butI think my daughters fettuccine alfredo was the best I have ever had. To top it off we got to listen to live piano music. We were visiting Raleigh for the day to take the family to some museums, we're from Wilmington and decided on this cute little... spot for an early dinner...Overall: 9.8/10, honestly. Great atmosphere, clean, friendly staff, Daniel was hilarious and he andthe other nice blonde haired server (missed her name, she was very nice) really made sure me, my wife and our 4 kids were takencare of. The Food: 9.5/10 it was top tier Italian, flavorful, well presented and reasonably priced for what you get, a fillingplate. I had the Pollo Del Re. Food was average... felt a bit pricey to me, but maybe I've not caught up with inflation yet. It was an easy 3 stars for the... money, but the service pulled it up to 4 - server was very friendly and helpful. I got the penne alla vodka - it was prettygood... Absolutely not. 28 dollars for one pizza !!! Literally its frozen pizza in the oven. You can taste that this has been cooked... before and frozen then reheated by order. Absolutely not reordering ever again. I also got fettuccine that literally taste likeplain butter pasta with a drizzle of Alfredo sauce for $23 dollars a small plate !!!! Like seriously!! We got takeout and this was packaged so poorly it was delivered an entire mess and all our food and sauce was spilled around the... bag. The calamari was vile. Smelled like rotting fish. I have never had calamari smell so disgusting we had to immediately throwit in the outside can cause it stunk up the entire house so quickly. Garlic bread was stale and hard. Will not be back. Ordered online for my fiancée to pick up. While waiting, she heard the bartender say several inappropriate... comments while acting as if he was intoxicated. Additionally, she noticed that, although the individuals preparing the foodwere wearing masks, everyone else wasn?t. Once she picked up the food and arrived home, we noticed that the ?garlic knots? weordered were not garlic knots at all ? instead, the ?garlic knots? were pieces of bread with garlic on top (photo attached). This place is phenomenal. I really enjoyed the Italian food served here as I am an average joe. The fried calamari was... delicious. It was really cool to see the owner in the restaurant and working hard beside his employees. I have a huge respectfor that and will happily come back to this place. Very cozy atmosphere. Read more
