This was my first time trying this place as a birthday vegan joint! It?s nothing fancy as far as the location spot itself but... the food is prepared like it?s a fancy place for real. We ordered 3 appetizers (cornbread, lettuce wraps, & wanton ragoons)which were all scrumptious & bursting with flavor. For my main entree I did macaroni & cheese that comes out hot in a skillet &it?s the best vegan version I have ever tried to be dairy free. I paired it with the crab cakes which was a perfect combination.Another entree was chicken and waffles which was tasty to not be real chicken and as for the Belgian waffle, it was awaffle????????????. We did the Rosotti which was superb too! For drinks we did the homemade sodas in orange & pomegranate whichare non refillable & they bring out fresh water to the table upon your seating. The orange hands down is the best and you cantell it?s homemade! For dessert we tried everyone on the menu and our favorites were the pumpkin cheesecake and the pretzelchocolate cake with coconut ice cream that was ooooh too good to be true! We had reservations & were seated in a timely manner. The waiter was great & so was his tip! This place is not cheap so be prepared to spend to enjoy & sample the goodness this placehas to offer! I will more than likely never do inside dining again because it?s really too congested but I definitely will do togo orders! Read more

Very excited to review this spot. I haven't found too many restaurants I'd like to frequent in Raleigh but this is ABSOLUTELY... one of them. Started with a fantastic sangria cocktail and fried mushrooms (better than any calamari I've ever had). Had therisotto which was deliciously BURSTING with flavors. Curry wasn't anything special, but still very good and loved the amount ofvegetables. AND THE SERVICE WAS JUST IMPECCABLE. Great bar staff, everyone was just so nice and courteous. Can't wait to comeback and try more items. Read more

We've been vegan for quite a while now, and normally we don't enjoy vegan options at restaurants because it's typically gross... mock meat or flavorless. Fiction kitchen was absolutely mind blowing for us! We started with roasted potatoes with the old baymayo and also the chili sauce and they were so crispy and delicious! For our mains, we got the chicken and waffles and the tingatacos. The chicken and waffles were so good, the waffle is the best I've ever had and the chicken was way too realistic. Fordessert we got the brownie tart and the tres leches cake, and both were just okay. Arthur was an awesome server and overall wehad a great evening! Will definitely be returning to try more items! I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan restaurant in Raleigh downtown. I have lived in California and I know how awesome and... amazing vegan chicken and meat can be. To be honest the food didn't matched the Californian vegan restaurant but that's okay. The food comes really close to best in standard. Probably I would give 4 star to the vegan food they made but I really need togive this place an absolute 5 star to even attempt such a restaurant in place like North Carolina. When it comes to desert theydid a fantastic job of it. I ordered Tres Leches and it was absolutely amazing given it was Vegan. It was a job very well done. Read more
