So we ignored the bad reviews and ate here anyway and we should have listened. If you don't want food poisoning then don't go... here. They rush the food to get customers out so the food was undercooked. I got shrimp and rice and the shrimp tasted funny andundercooked and rice was hard from not being cooked throughly. Not really sure what it was, and it could've been just me. But later that night after ordering the Shrimp Teriyaki, I could not... stop vomiting it up. I will never again eat here. This was the worst Japanese food I've ever tasted not to mention the staff was not friendly. They... upcharge for everything. Fried rice didn't even come with the Teriyaki chicken and rice it was an upcharge. White sauce didn'teven come with the traditional Japanese chicken and rice that usually comes WITH that meal, it was $0.75 EXTRA. My mother and I asked for 2 beef teriyakis with white rice and a side of dumplings. We wanted something warm, so I asked for 2... hot green teas. The attendant, however, said that I "had" to ask for a cold drink! I was a bit surprised that she assumed Iwanted a combo, which I wasn't asking for, but I went along with it cause I was hungry! Next, I asked her if they had trays andshe said no. I got my drinks and 2 teriyakis later on, but the cook said the dumplings weren't ready. So we had to wait forquite a while to get them. Anyway! I normally don't like to complain but I seriously think management at Sarku Japan shouldretrain their employees! First, attendants neither smile nor greet customers when they place orders at the counter. Attendantsrush customers to order as if they were cattle! The napkins are hard to pull out of the dispensers. The worse part of it,though, is the food which it doesn't stand to Japanese standards! That is, the beef in the teriyaki was soggy and barelytasty. Same thing for the vegetables! To add insult to injury we paid $31.81 for a meal that, despite the fact we were tiredafter doing some shopping, was disappointing! I don't know if many people are just getting used to bad service and food but Ibelieve that you should get for what you're paying for, especially when money is not an object! Thus, I think that Sarku Japanshould at least have one Japanese manager running the show to keep the standards high because I suspect the employees have noidea about Japanese food or culture!
