I will tread carefully with this review because of the fact that my personal meal was good....a bit salty but overall it was... good. I had the beef with butternut squash soup. My wife however got the "rack of lamb" which was 3 ribs, very small, and fullof fat. I noticed the gentleman in a suit who originally seated us making his way through the restaurant as we ate and hadconversations with patrons asking them "How is everything " etc. We did not receive that unfortunately. It was fine, nothing exceptional. The food was well prepared but nothing exceptional. Dining room felt like the waiting room in... a doctors office in terms of decor and lighting. Service was quite poor; every time we needed more wine, bread, water, check,etc our server was at the next table in the midst of a long winded conversation. For the cost I would expect better service andatmosphere. There are better options if you are looking for a fine dining experience in the area. Read more

Can't Believe I'm typing a not so great review for SJ, after so many great experiences there. Duck was extremely undercooked,... and lacked flavor. Yes I know Duck is served pink, but this was crazy. Rubbery mess. Short Rib was extremely salty. Squash Soupwas the only dish that remotely reminded me of why I'm spending this much at this restaurant. Atmosphere was awkward, and feltuncomfortable. Table adjacent to us seem to be unhappy with their experience as well. Service, while adequate, didn't live up toprior experiences. I know that restaurants are struggling right now, so I would give it up to a bad night. However, I had justdined here a month before, and it was excellent. I overhead the Waiter tell another table that they were under newmanagement/chef...so I am left wondering if that explains the bad experience. Probably won't return anytime soon. Not impressed with Saint Jacques. Website shows alcohol but all they have is wine (no sweet wine) so wine was nasty (I drank... water) We had a great waitress "Alex..(a girl)" Tipped Alex good..she made our evening so much better. Don't buy "Coquille SaintJacques" it's nasty. Lobster bisque was delicious and so was Creme Brulee. I don't think we will be back. Read more
