First time here and it was so delicious! I got the goat masala and naan with rice. I want to go back and try other foods. I also... got the mango drink the ingredients included mango and yogurt it was super smooth texture of a thick juice. I totally recommendthis place! If you are in the Raleigh or surrounding area, make the trip to this restaurant! The food is great. We sat and talked with the... owner and his friend, without knowing who they were, for a while. He offered suggestions and the food started coming to thetable. Some was even comped. The service was prompt and we tried new dishes we never had before. It's very ornate inside, thoughthe strip mall where it's located isn't very aesthetically pleasing. I very much look forward to returning the next time I visitthe area. Read more

I and my friend had visited Royal India for lunch and we really enjoyed two of their lunch special combos here. But the service... was so poor that although I would've loved to give a better rating, I cannot. After serving our food, the attendant neverreturned to check if we needed anything. We wanted to try out one more combo (like a chaat combo), plus we needed napkins butshe never came although we kept looking out. We ended up grabbing napkins from the table next to us since it did not have anycustomers. The restaurant was relatively empty for the lunch hour and yet service was way under par. The waitress came back withthe desserts (which were part of the lunch combos) long after we finished eating. All in all, the food was good and the decorwas pretty (the place looked "royal"), but service was very bad. Read more

Wonderful experience. I will definitely eat here again. The food was fantastic and service phenomenal. They no longer offer the... buffet, but they do have combination plates so you can try multiple dishes. Would recommend ???????? Read more

1/28/2022 What a wonderful experience! I decided I wanted authentic Indian food for my birthday, and found Royal India. The... inside looked regal. Mirrored walls, portraits of Indian kings and queens... it was just beautiful. We were served what lookedlike papadam. I wasn't much of a fan but did like the minty yogurt sauce it came with. We ordered the lentil dumplings. Verysavory and well spiced. The texture reminds a bit like potato cakes. I ordered the bhuna goat, medium spicy. It was verydelicious (but next time, if I order this again, I'll lower the spice level to mild :P). The herbs that were in there werestrong but in a good way. The mango lassi helped with my burning mouth. Sweet and refreshing. We also ordered garlic naanbread, and oh my, it was sooo good. The rice was cooked to perfection. I was given a complimentary dessert which I believe wasGulab Jamun. It was sweet but it didn't hit my sweet tooth so I ordered the Pistachio Kulfi. No regrets. It was absolutelydelicious, creamy and unique. The ladies bathroom seemed cleaned. The owner Ram was very courteous, and told us some backgroundof his restaurant. I said I’ll give 4.5 because of having mango lassi instead of mango Margarita..lol.. but jokes aside this is one place I... can’t find any shortcomings in despite trying, decorations are excellent and ambiance authentic. Service is courteous andprices totally right. Amount of food just good and location little hiding but it’s an experience to palate and purse. Must tryrecommending I’m as a patron and enthusiast ?? I go to many Indian restaurants in NC. Royal India uses the best quality and fresh chicken and other ingredients. All curry... menus are so tasty so I’ve been visiting here three times for the last week. + lunch combo menu is a must-try. Read more
