Food was good, nothing really that stood out among all the other sushi options in Raleigh. Our sushi sat in the window for over... 10mins before or waitress even noticed it was ready, too busy talking with other waitstaff and being on cell phone, was only 2other tables being waited on. She was nice at first, then we handed her a tip at the end and she immediately rolled her eyes,held it up to the light like they were counterfeit bills or something and legitimately stomped off yelling in a differentlanguage! First time ordering here, and me and my husband were really disappointed. We ordered hibachi steak and chicken with fried rice,... an eel roll and vegetable roll. The chicken was very dry and my dish was watery and bland. My husband's steak was also bland andgristley. The sushi tasted good, but the quality wasn't the best and the rolls fell apart easily. The yumyum sauce is VERYsweet. We ordered extra and it's a shame because we won't eat it. We added soy sauce and rice vinegar to try and make it morepalatable but it's still not great. The fried rice wasn't the best but was my husband's favorite part of the meal. We may tryother dishes in the future, but based on this one meal I can't recommend this place. For the price you can get a much bettermeal somewhere else. What a shame. Read more
It was actually my hair dresser that convinced me to pop by Red Bowl after finishing my appointment. I looked through their... extensive menu that consisted of appetizers, beef/chicken/shrimp entrees, and sushi. After flipping through and thinking of myhunger level I decided to go with the sushi. I love a Philly roll and the Red Bowl roll looked good as well, so I got those two.If you buy a drink the sushi is BOGO, so my server worked it out as I was able to take a bottle of water with me. This helpedout so much on my total at the end. Now, the sushi...well, it was not the best. It was okay, but was super small and just thequality of ingredients just fell short. I maybe would come back for something else, but not back for the sushi. The great thingwas my server was very nice and again worked things out for the BOGO. How have I not written this review sooner?!? The bad: service is slower than I?d like, and it seems they may be short staffed,... even before the pandemic. The quality of the service is great though, and they always get you what you need. The sushi is buyone, get one when you purchase a soda, and the prices are reasonable even without that deal. The deal just makes it sweeter andentices you to enjoy more of their succulent sushi. All their sushi items are solid choices, whether you?re someone who prefershot or cold sushi. I can?t speak to the rest of the menu, but my husband orders those items from time to time and is neverdisappointed. Portions are generous. It?s our first choice. Read more
Red Bowl has always been one of my go to, and reliable restaurants. They have never failed me and have always provided a... superior level of customer service. I had the pleasure of having Coleman as a service and I must say he exceeded my highstandards. He was attentive and authentically the embodiment of an ambassador for the establishment. Kudos!! I really enjoyed this place! The food was great and the atmosphere was even better! It?s really that perfect balance of nice... place but not so fancy that you need to prepare for. My wife and I went for the first time after shopping around the mall and wedidn?t feel out of place in our jeans and t-shirt but we both said that we could dress up, order some drinks and come here for adate night! Very accommodating waitress when my friend and I took incredibly long to decide what to order. Kindly reminded us that the... kitchen would be closing in advance so we have ample time to order and eat as we were coming in a few hours before closing. Tasty food with lots of options on the menu, anyone would be able to find something they enjoy. Read more
