Ordered the angel hair pasta with gilled shrimp: for $29 it was not worth it! It came with 6 pieces of small shrimp circled... around the plate, the pasta sauce tasted like they only added sugar and was kind of watery, the angel hair pasta was stacked inthe middle of the plate like a blob and it was not even al dente.. second dish was beef toungue ravioli, the ravioli itself wasovercooked and had this hard/cripsy edge to the point that it was unedible.. the beef tongue inside was not even enough and itdidn’t taste right.. it had an old gamey taste to it which probably means it wasn’t cooked and cleaned properly..underneaththe ravioli had some spinach leaves that tasted like it was soaked in sesame oil mixed with chop mushrooms and some blandtomatoe sauce, dish was bland and poorly executed.. service was great and that’s the only positive I can say about this place. This is a popular restaurant in Raleigh for many reasons. It's not in downtown so it is easier to get to since it's in a... shopping center strip mall with plenty of parking. Margaux's has been a favorite for years and this most recent trip did notdisappoint. The staff was wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive while other support staff constantly checked on us toensure drinks were full, plates cleared and if anything else was needed. The food was delicious while their menu choices offera huge variety for everyone. I went with a work colleague/friend for dinner. We enjoyed the Tuna and roasted cauliflowerappetizers. He had the filet and I had the grouper entrees. We each had dessert and they were as good as they looked. Check outthe photos of their wonderful profiterols and dense chocolate brownie. This is consistently on Raleigh's best of list for diningand you'll agree after experiencing the delightful dining experience this restaurant offers. Read more

This is the second time I’ve eaten here and it has drastically changed since the last. The menu is now more diverse and has... strayed from the traditional French cuisine it used to serve. We tried the Venison and the Duck special and our friends all gotthe Prix Fix menu and chose a variety of the offerings. Everything was cooked just right and the service was on point. Read more

The food and drink selection is great. We had a wonderful server name Logan. She provided outstanding service to her customers... and has a great personality! The key lime pie was delightful. I will be back to try out more food and drinks soon. Read more

Third time coming to Margaux's even though the service was not good last time. Tried again because my first time here was... fantastic. Basically learned that reservations are recommended especially if you are planning your visit for a specialoccasion. But overall great food great staff! If you get the early bird special, the portions are a bit smaller but it comeswith 3 courses. Great idea if you want to have room for dessert! I would reccomend this spot; highly recommend reserving a tablein advance. Read more

Start with a dirty daddy/momma martini (blue cheese stuffed olives????), order a filet or the salmon and DONT SKIP THE MASHED... POTATOES, end with profiteroles (a cream puff with Belgian chocolate sauce) and you will leave extremely satisfied. Read more

All staff was very nice! Food was really sub par. Appetizer shrimp had a strong fish smell. Beef skewer and sirloin tasted... exactly alike. Sirloin had huge piece of gristle that had to be spit out. Plates were burning hot but food was barely warm onentrees. General Tsos chicken was super sour. Could not eat. Mashed potatoes were the highlight of the meal. Bread for tabletasted fresh, but soggy as if placed in basket and left to sit. Cocktail was delicious and chilled perfectly but running overthe glass and spilling everywhere all over server's hands, table, my hands. Read more
