This was my first and last time going to this location. The best part of this experience was the young lady that fixed my meal... for me. She was very helpful. But the cashier was very rude. She was not friendly at all. My husband was not sure about what hewanted to eat so I asked the cashier could he taste just a little bit of my food. She said your food is not paid for yet. I saidbut we have the money right here he just wants to see if he wanted some food from here. And then I asked for spicy jerk sauce togo with my food. She also said with an attitude this is not for free you will pay for this. I told her we have plenty of moneyand we can pay for everything that we get. I ordered the Browns stew chicken with rice and peas plantains and cabbage. Thechicken was very salty, the peas in the rice were frozen and not cooked at all, and the Cabbage was not seasoned and the peasthat were in there were also Frozen and not cooked. Let me start off yet saying that if you want a WELCOMING place to eat, this is not it. You will not see many smiles on the... employees nor will you feel welcomed. But the food is decent. My cabbages were way undercooked so I had to cook them myself, when I got home. The cabbages were more like cole slaw , than cooked cabbage. I took a chance to pop into this place on the 14th of May and was so delighted with the food and flavor that I had to come back... 2 days later. The portion size for each plate I ordered was so large my family and I couldn't eat it in one setting. The food iswell seasoned I was surprised. We ordered the rice and beans with oxtail, the yellow vegetable rice with curry goat, the pork(so succulent), the spinach white rice, the escovich snapper, and the barbecue chicken within the two times. Not one dish dishdisappointed! The staff also is ver courteous and friendly, and the place is clean. So what if it's cafeteria style and fewtables. Order your food, get it, and go! This place is beautiful. Nice and clean. The manager is very nice and even helps to serve the food. That truly impressed me... because most times managers are usually seen when there is a problem, as they do not interact with customers. The food isdelicious!!! A bit spicy, but has flavor too!!! First visit at this location. The customer service was exceptional, greeted as soon as I entered. The food area is clean and... food is visible before purchase. I love that they are cleaning as they serve. Great choices on the menu. Today I orderedvegetable rice, cabbage medley, plantains and curry chicken. The portion size is amazing. I may have this for a few days or 2meals today. Everything taste good. The rice could've cooked a little longer with a little more flavor. The cabbage needs alittle more salt more tenderly cooked. The curry chicken is great. Plentiful and flavorful. I also ordered 3 differentpatties. The spinach patty is a great delight. We haven't eaten the jerk chicken patty nor beef patty yet, but will update whenwe do. There are many choices to get. There are so many dessert and drink choices. I will return again with my family.
