We went to Cucciolo to celebrate a birthday so we spent more than we could have. It was delicious! I got the butter chicken... sostanza and it was amazing! I had leftovers the next day and it was just as delicious. We enjoyed the charcuterie board and afew bottles of Italian wine. My food came out a few minutes after my friends received theirs. I wasn't even upset, but themanager came out to apologize and gave us dessert on the house! And thank goodness because that tiramasu was *chef's kiss.* Theservice was impeccable, food delicious, ambience was lovely, and the experience was top notch! Read more

An absolute APOGEE. Italian gastronomy at its finest! What started as exploring a new dinner spot ended as discovering our new... favorite place in Raleigh. The ingredient selections, flavor profiles, presentations - every bite is saturated with quality. It’s a rare feat to provide dishes so versatile that they are decadent enough to stand alone yet clean enough to accompany andcompliment additional selections. And this place did just that. The menu is unapologetically pure, and the dishes powerfullydelicious. The table-side bread and olive oil + basalmic starter was rich, earthy, and bright. We ordered a Caesar, 2 pastas, and one ribeye and had pleeeenty plus enough to box. The Caesar was true to the core: bold cool lettuce, tart lemon, crunchycroutons, and adorned with the freshest little fishies that were perfectly prepared. The pastas- I’m sure we’ve all haddisappointing ravioli before that amount to more noodle than stuffing - this is quite the opposite! We split 2 dishes (Fall Ravand Wild Boar agnolotti amazingness). The noodles are robust and clearly made in house. Takes about 3-4 forkfuls to finish one! They were plump with garlicky spinach (Fall), and rich gamey meat (wild boar). The mix of butternut squash, veg and nuts on theFall dish were perfect light and interesting additions. I could go on for days about the sage, saba, and fennel in the agnolottidish- it adds a citrusy complexity that so perfectly brightens the nuttiness of the boar. “Mouth watering” is anunderstatement. The ribeye- I simply can’t put the experience in words. Opulent? Captivating? From first glance to last bite-It monopolises all of your attention and senses. Absolutely stunning presentation- my face when it came to the table was probmeme-worthy. The edges of beef were flush with the spicy crackle of black pepper, the core a cool contrast of tender, perfectlymarbled heaven. The accompanying potatoes and broccolini, splashed with browned butter and herbs, provided a welcomed Read more

We do not have kids and thus have the luxury of eating out a lot. We each take notice of many aspects of a restaurant, often... hers being different than of mine but of course no less valuable. I’ll start off with saying that this is a new restaurant andas an upscale restaurant, news travels fast…either you are an early hit or it is clear you’re destined to fail. Tonight, therestaurant was packed but what was glorious for us, we made our reservation hours before coming in. Few things frustrate me morethan being told, “ohh If you don’t book that place at least a month in advance, you’ll never get in”. Not to suggest Iwant to be able to walk in at any time and get a table but it is frustrating not being able to have some spontaneity. I alsohate living in a city where everyone knows what the best restaurants are and when there aren’t many, those establishments areimpossible to get into. So the ambiance, it is vibrant and modern but not cold. Italian food by nature, at least for me, iscomfort food, so maybe we walked in already feeling like we were coming home for the holidays. Having said that, the ceilingsare high, the lighting fixtures were varied throughout and interestingly, several were intentionally cut off. I assume theyadjusted the lights they cut on based on the mood they were wanting to establish. Half of the restaurant is made up of glasswindows and the floor is concrete, as a result it is a bit loud. For some that may pose a problem and I suspect they’ll haveto invest in some measures to reduce the noise at some stage. Brewery Bhavana had to do the same. The ceilings are high whichdoes help but what my lady pointed out that I hadn’t identified was in the room temperature. We have all eaten at places wherethere was a significant difference in the experience based on where you sat. Here, the air ducts are so high up that you cannotfeel any air movement, the air in the room is calm and comfortable throughout. If you are alone or arrive early, ther Read more

The atmosphere feels crisp and clean and alive. I was quickly greeted upon arrival and chose the complimentary valet parking. ... I was seated immediatelt and I appeared to be one of the first patrons to this restaurant that serves dinner only. Offered somewater and sliced bread with an olive oil mix. It was tasty. The service was a bit slow and I waited nearly 30 minuets to getmy ordered entree. But no worries, this should mean I would get pipping hot food and freshly made pasta. Besides for my platebeing left at the table while I scattered to the restroom after a long wait, the service was genuine. The manager came andapologized and offered to correct the oversight. NOW THE FOOD ???? was AMAZING!!!! Exactly what I expect in a fine diningestablishment and especially those only operable for dinner. The drinks ???? were just as amazing and had me feeling mello!! That bar tender had some shake on him . No worries, I shall be back and know my 4 star was an introduction to a 5star. Remember good people, smile often, do good, and enjoy life!!!! Read more

Very pleasant ambience and a nice set of decors. The refined Italian dishes we shared were on par with some of the best around. ... The highly recommended braised octopus was the peak tasting experience for us. Make sure to poke your head into their wineroom. It's simply stunning. Read more

Dinner was simply superb. From the appetizer, to the salad, to our two pastas, to dessert. Service was impeccable, our waiter... was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and affable. Our pastas were the best I have had in a very long time, and most certainlythe best in Raleigh. Would give 10 stars if I could. New favorite place in Raleigh. Read more
