This was right behind my hotel (AC Marriott on Glenwood) and since I always saw a line outside and/or a full parking lot I... decided to stop by for a snack one day. The fries were SO good and you get two bags for the price. I love the ordering system,you fill out a form and slide it through a slit in the glass then wait for your number to be called. My 1/2 pound burger was so good. But I didn't know it would be that big so the next visit I will order a 1/4 pound burger. My... fries were delicious cooked perfect I wrote on my order slip soft so they wouldn't be to hard. I would recommend eating there ifyou get (Let,Tom, Mayo) on your burger cause it's so hot. They also let you substitute your drink for a apple turnover in yourcomb meal. This is a very affordable place with cooked to order food. I love this place. Read more
On a weekend visit to Raleigh we discovered this gem of a grill close to our hotel. First of all they have a foolproof ordering... system with paper menus to easily check your options and slide thru a slit in the window. I had their BLT and my wife had theirquarterpound burger. Both were beyond excellent, mouth-wateringly fantastic. They served their BLT on a fresh bun with a freshtomato and bacon to die for. Their fries were outstanding and chocolate shakes thick and rich without being overly sweet. We aregoing back tomorrow for more. Read more

I always go find the local fast food joints when I visit around the county. A place in business back in 1960 is going to get my... attention! Right out of the box the ordering system is from a time long gone! You fill out a card of what you want, add yourname and then put it in a slot. They call your name when the order is done. Fun! Got a 1/2 pound burger with everything whichincludes cole slaw. Yummy! Large fry, a brownie (great brownie!) and the apple pie which was done old school and tastedawesome! I really should have got a shake but I was feeling bad about the calories I was going to eat! LOVED LOVED everything. Iwould go back on another visit. Me and my pregnant wife decided to give them a chance we ordered our food first of all its not even hot second they didn?t put... any onions on either sandwich we all the way home my wife is upset her birthday was yesterday she wanted a good burger ???? so Icall up there to let them know what?s going on and he suggested I drive back to his restaurant for the onions or mention it tohis Manager next time I?m up there I?m not sure if this is because we are black but I could have gotten better service from cookout food would have been hot & if they would have inconvenienced me they would have Compensated Accordingly to how a Reputablebusiness work Read more
I love this char grill. Great location to eat and people watch. The staff is super friendly and have never gotten my order... wrong. If you want a burger i would make sure you get the burger, they have a hamburger steak on the top of the menu that i?vegotten confused about and ordered it thinking it was a burger.
