4.5 stars- Great mimosa special for brunch- it is an experience- the service here is exceptional- classic German dishes- did... have to send a steak back for being over cooked- the meal was replaced, the steak still didn’t have much flavor, the otherthings on the plate were delicious. Tried this place for restaurant week and also ordered off their regular dinner menu. Everything we tried was delicious and we... absolutely plan to come back! It is such an unassuming place that we wouldn’t pick if we walked past it but we are so glad westumbled across it because there is so much more on the menu we want to try. The restaurant is categorized as “newamerican” but their menu feels like home cooked German traditional food. The service was great and the ambiance was very calm.Although there only seemed to be one waiter for the entire restaurant he was really on the ball and we never felt neglected. Allof the dishes came out in a timely manner and our drinks never ran dry. Shout out to the hostess who was considerate of thingshappening outside of the restaurant like a flickering street light and accommodated moving guests to different tables to be lessaffected by the light coming in the windows. We are locals that stumbled upon this place on a Saturday night date night and we are so glad we did! I had the zucchini... schnitzel with German potato salad, and he had the southern style cheesesteak with fries. The food was great, as was the serviceand the ambiance. We were hoping to have room for the apple strudel but were unfortunately too full from our hearty meal. Wehope to come back to try some of their other dishes! Read more
The food was 10/10. Great flavors and very reasonable prices for what you’re getting. We came for Sunday brunch and had a... reservation. Host was very kind and was clearly doing all he could to help. Our server was very very slow. She was kind but ittook almost 15 minutes for her to come to our table after we were seated and took a pretty long amount of time for the checks.She was still nice though. Would definitely come back.
