I took my wife to Cafe Tiramisu for her birthday dinner. The food (appetizers, entrees, and dessert) was delicious, and the... bartender went out of his way to make a drink (that was not on the menu) for my wife. Most importantly, John provided quitepossibly the best service we've ever experienced -- not just in Raleigh, but anywhere. He was extremely knowledgeable of themenu, providing thoughtful and helpful responses, but it's his personality that truly made our night! He added humor, whenappropriate, and also brought a piece of cake for my wife since he knew it was her birthday. He also was the one who asked thebartender to come over to our table when we were trying to figure out what to drink. Overall, great experience, and we'llcertainly be coming back! Read more

Arrived 30 minutes early for our 6:45 reservation and were seated right away. So many delicious things on the menu and some... appealing specials as well. We each ordered the fried oyster appetizer recommended by Brian our server. I am an oysterconnoisseur, and these were the best I have had in years. If we had not been looking forward to our entrees, we would haveordered seconds! I started with the Beet Arugula salad and my husband had a Caesar salad. Very good, and hubby was happy theyhad anchovies available for his salad. I had the Pollo Ripieno and it was so rich, and so good. My hubby had the Pollo Rusticaand devoured it. For dessert he had tiramisu and I had lemon blueberry cake. Yum! We don't eat like this often, and this was theperfect spot to indulge. Brian provided excellent service with just the right amount of interaction. It was evident he was veryknowledgeable of the menu and wine list, and also proud of the restaurant's menu and quality. Our water glasses were refilledbefore they ever got less than half full by the hostess. Bottom line - service was top notch. Make a reservation and go as soonas you can - we plan to the next time we are in Raleigh! Read more

We?re from out of town and started the evening in another restaurant (to remain nameless) and ended up walking out due to dirty... appearance and lack of attention. Thank goodness we found this place. The service was 5-star and the food was 5-star and thecleanliness was 5-star and the ambience was 5-star. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I hope you find yourself here. Read more

I?ve long been determined to find the best Italian in the area that could rival my favorite restaurant at Myrtle beach, Ciao,... but have failed until my family and I visited Cafe Tiramisu for dinner. Don?t be fooled by the location in a strip mall shoppingcenter; as soon as you walk into the restaurant you are transported to a classy, New York-esque atmosphere with its ambientlighting and decor. I always judge an Italian restaurant by the bread they serve, so I immediately knew I would have anexcellent dining experience by the freshly baked, crunchy on the outside soft on the inside loaf our server John brought out forus. Along with it was the most amazing pesto olive oil which I wish I could?ve brought home with me. Menu-wise, I waspleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the food. We ordered our universal starters calamari, which came crispy and perfectlyseasoned, fried oysters, and mussels in a cream garlic sauce. The mussels were slightly on the briny side for me, but naturallybeing this far from the sea that is bound to happen. The cream sauce was perfect to soak the bread in. For entrees, we orderedthe pork loin chop which was stuffed and served on a bed of spinach fettuccine alfredo, a classic chicken parmesan withlinguine, and the lemon garlic shrimp pasta. All were perfectly seasoned and plates were cleaned. My only comment would be thatthe chicken parmesan was a bit soggy, but otherwise everyone enjoyed their meals. You have to finish the experience off withtheir infamous tiramisu, which was so light and airy yet rich and creamy at the same time. The prices reflect the quality offood and service you get and are definitely reasonable. I will be coming back for more and look forward to my next diningexperience here. Read more

This was our second time eating here and it just gets better every time. The service from John our waiter was great and his menu... item recommendations were spot on. I started out with lobster bisque soup and then we had penne ofo and chicken marscapone andfinished with blueberry lemon liquor cake and everything was delicious. We have eaten at many high end Italian restaurants allover the USA and nothing even comes close to this amazing little hidden gem! Read more
