We have been going to Cafe Carolina since 2003, right at two decades. We started when we were working in downtown Raleigh and... dined at the Cafe Carolina that was open there at the time. When we retired we continued to dine at the Village Districtlocation. We live in Smithfield and dine there a dozen plus times yearly mostly on Sunday mornings driving in from our home inSmithfield. The food is always excellent and we prefer The Charleston Smoked Turkey and tomato soup as our go to selections. Wealso find the dining area a place that invites you to sit down enjoy your meal, talk, and enjoy a refill of your beverage. Thestaff there is always friendly and willing to do whatever is needed to make our visit enjoyable. Read more
I had a great experience with cafe carolina!! I ordered doordash, and I accidentally got the wrong order. I called cafe carolina... just to let them know my order was switched with someone else's, and the owner DELIVERED ME my correct order!!! It was thesweetest thing a restaurant has ever done for me. The food is delicious, and has been the few times I?ve been there. I alsoaccidentally got an inside out peanut butter bar and its sooo delicious, I?m glad it landed in my hands. My wife and I love this place. It's our favorite little Cafe to go to on Sunday mornings. Their paninis are to die for and the... cookies, oh my gawd. The coffee is always made perfectly just the way I like it. I have not one bad thing to say about thisplace. We went there for our long weekend family brunch. Thank god that place was not crazy crowded and we sat outside. Wonderful... weather we spend a quality time with family. Now comes to food. We ordered portable mashroom chicken panini, tasty that is theonly word. The chipotle chicken panini was good too. Beef sandwich is same old nothing special. I had caramel truffle coffee, itwas too sweet but tasty. If weather permits will suggest seat outside under the umbrella and enjoy the vibes of Camron Village. Read more
If you haven't been here, then get it on your list. The Village District is hiding a gem! We got there right at 11am and were... able to still get breakfast. The owner took our order and he was very friendly and excited to be back open. The sweet potato hamand cheese biscuits were incredible. I would have taken a pic but I ate them too fast. Also go for the Chocolate Peanut Buttercup in the bakery...WOW! Read more
I got the Country Breakfast-the bacon was good (it?s hard to screw up bacon), the eggs were bland and lukewarm. The potatoes... were also bland and lukewarm-cool, but were also mushy. For $10, I expected more. The coffee was surprisingly good, as were thesweet potato ham & cheese biscuits. I may go back, but only for coffee and a bagel or pastry; anything else is beyond thisrestaurant?s capability. Read more
