First time in Raleigh and I found Barcelona by chance. As a Spaniard I was so curious about the place, so I went in and booked a... table fot dinner. The guy at the reception was so nice, not only helped me with my booking but gave some recommendations aboutwhere to go around. All the managers and waiters were so warm and helped me pick my choice for the night. The food was reallygood and made me felt like home!! Very much worthy, go and give it a try!! We have loved every dinner here! It is truly authentic and the atmosphere is really fun. Located in the Dillon building, there... are high ceilings and a bar and various rooms. The bread, oil, shrimp and ham and cheese croquettes are phenomenal. We also hadthe grilled meat paradilla and it was seasoned perfectly. I was hesitant because I am from Spain and the USA is far away from spain, so normally I have been offered some fake food... whenever I go to a ?Spanish? restaurant. To my surprise, the experience we had here was amazing! My benchmark was the sangria -as wine will always taste the same. The sangria carries a good balance of sweetness and citrus flavours and it?s trulyrefreshing. The food, on point - a few things you can tell have been tweaked for the American public such as the Spanishmeatballs etc. Nevertheless it?s good tasting food and you do come out quite full from the place. The attention placed on eachtable is great too and the waiters are knowledgeable about the food they are serving. I assume when food and drinks are good,waiters take pride in what they serve. Next time my Spanish family is in the country, we will definitely be visiting. For thetime being, I?ll keep it as my to go place to revisit home whenever I miss it. Get the bread - it?s not charged and dip inolive oil they offer. Also sprinkle some salt in the olive oil to bring out its flavour. Go crazy with the tapas! Read more
Absolutely wonderful!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. The food and the service were phenomenal. Chris was our waiter and he... could not have been nicer. He helped guide us through the menu and made some wonderful suggestions. Also a big shout out toTaylor one of the managers for stopping by the table. He ended up talking to my wife and I for like 4 to 5 minutes. That wasdefinitely a refreshing experience because too many times managers and other restaurants will just say ?hi how?s the food? andthen walk away. Saturday lunch outside was a lovely treat. Friendly service, nice wine list and the food! Just so good. The mussels are divine.... Be sure to add crusty bread to drink up, I mean, dip into the sauce. Paella and salt fish fritters were tasty as well. Read more
This space is truly fantastic! The service and food were both phenomenal. The have a lot of gluten free options, as well as... vegetarian. I told the server about my dietary restrictions and she marked up my menu with all of the options available to me,which was close to half of it. We split a lot of dishes and couldn't get enough. Setting: Barcelona has a good atmosphere. Indoors and outdoors the seating arrangements are very tight, so if you have a large... party, please be aware you will be sitting in very close proximity to others. The servers tend to be overloaded with tables andservice can be slow. Drinks: The red sangria is very sweet, but the white sangria is dry. The other signature drinks are fairlypriced but delicious overall. Tapas: the tapas are a good portion overall, and you can safely say about 2-3 tapas per person.The red pepper steak is delicious, because the red peppers is fresh and flavorful. The mussels are by far my favorite dish and Iwould highly suggest you get them. The potatoe pie is like a quiche and it?s good, but tends to be sold out very fast. Dessert:the coffee and olive oil cakes were fantastic. Highly consider getting both. They?re also good portions. Excellent!! Waw this place amazed me from the minute I walked in. The vibe is great, decorations and setting is beautiful,... waiter Zak was very helpful and proactive, but most importantly the food was delicious. We tried many tapas and all wereexcellent. My least favorite was the empanada but still very good. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend. Read more
