I WOULD GO BACK? I was unsure as to what I had a taste for, but eventually ended up here after seeing the sign outside. I?ve... been to Mongolian grills around the Raleigh area and while most have either always been or switched over to charge by bowl, Ihappen to love the fact that this location charges by weight. I always felt as if I was being cheated by spending $11-$12 for aportion size that only fit into a small serving bowl - I could barely fit the meat in alone with everything spilling over, so itwas wonderful to be able to pick up a tray and load 4 bowls on it to choose from the bar without having things put together inone!! I also enjoyed the host?s opinions when asked his suggestion of the best food selections and sauces to combine - he wasengaging and friendly, which is a plus. I?m not sure what the setup and orderliness looks like in full swing because I visitedwhen they opened up at 5pm, but everything was neat, fresh, and appealing to the eye. I will say I was a little disappointedthat there was no chicken or eggs ( I love a good fried egg in my meal), but the food had a great taste and was seasoned well,in my opinion. I wasn?t too far off from what I anticipated spending and left with a pretty good idea how to adjust, based onthis experience, how I could spend less/more. Overall, I feel like this experience encouraged me to revisit!! Read more

This is hands down the worst Mongolian grill ever, think neo Tokyo with less options and flavors. If you want good Mongolian... food go to Crazy fire Mongolian grill. At least it would have been worth the $78 dollars I spent for 4 people. I got 2.7 lbs offood for myself and it?s bland and tasteless, they don?t even have teriyaki sauce, or yum yum sauce. How can you even have ahibachi grill without teriyaki. I suppose the upside was that at least it had some spice to it, but mixed with bland tastelessfood, it?s just terrible. Edible but none the less I could have gone to McDonald?s and got more flavor. They only have 3 meatoption at the bar, beef, pork, and turkey. Who serves turkey at a Mongolian grill? You have to pay extra on top of 8.50 or 10.50a pound(8.50 with rice and 10.50 without rice) for additional meet option like chicken or shrimp(chicken is one of the leastexpensive meets) which was only explained after are food was already cooking. They have few choices of vegetables, and no eggsbarely anything remotely diverse. No rice cakes, water chestnuts, tofu, or much of anything in the way of Asian vegetables. Thebar is maybe 10ft long and that is giving them the benefit of the doubt. No service at all, the host was nice I suppose, butnot much in the way of personality or professionalism, and little knowledge about the food. Maybe because it was towards the endof the night. Don?t bother going here, the Chinese buffets on capitol blvd have better hibachi than this place. If you want areal hibachi experience go to Crazy fire Mongolian grill. The grill is supposed to be the center piece and it?s basicallyhidden. No frills no nothing, and it?s poorly lit at night. So much for trying to go to a nice place on my Birthday. Instead ofenjoying a good meal, I?m writing this while everyone else tries to enjoy their disappointing food. I?m gonna eat it anywaybecause I?m not going to let 2.7lbs of food go to waste. However I will guarantee I will never ever Read more

Bad. Disappointing and bad. I ignore extreme reviews because they are usually from a discruntled person. Don't ignore this.... First, the fixings bar has abt 1/4 of the size of other places. Now, for the meat... Thin slices of beef, pork, and turkey. Whenthey cook it, it's like overcooked pieces of steak-em meat. Worst meal I have had in years. I can't imagine someone spending$12-$15 and going back. Read more

Disappointed with quality of food - I have been going to Bali Hai for years but one in Raleigh is not quite up to the mark with... quality / taste of food - it has inconsistent quality. My last order was not done well and spices were not proper - tastedterrible. Even though restaurant closes at 9 they stop dine in much earlier ? They seemed to be in a hurry to go home onSaturday night. Read more

Waitress was great. They barely put any seasoning on and then won't give you extra. Load up your bowls for the to-go container... they give you regardless if you are dine in or take out, or they will load it down with rice. You're paying what they want youto pay regardless. Very few choices on what you get to add, more like hibachi than mongolian. It's not authentic. It's very hotinside, no fans. I see why everyone takes it to go. If you stay, get ice water. First and last time I eat there. Read more

I went here on a whim of nostalgia? haven?t been to Bali Hai since the one in Raleigh burned down. The way they charge for the... food changed and is no longer per bowl, it is per pound. The food was still decent, but it was disappointing how much rice theyput into the take-out containers prior to weighing. It seemed like half the weight was due to the amount of rice. Read more

It?s not QUITE the same ambiance as the old one, but the food is just as fantastic. It?s finally back in north Raleigh. D-10... Extra Sauce is my favorite. Read more
