Met an out of town colleague here as a last minute dinner plans. First time and we both like it. She ordered the angry dragon... which was tasty. I ordered the girl on fire. It literally was flaming when it came to our table. I wish I can add a video hereas it was such a cool presentation. For apps, we chose the spicy fish wonton. Can't go wrong with this. Food was pretty good. We ordered the hibachi scallops/ chicken and a healthy size shrimp. The only issue was there wasn't a lot... of vegetables and rice with egg for the value. I rather eat at the Japanese grill where they actually cook in front of you. Ialways end up with a To-go box of leftovers full of food for the same price. Read more
It was very lively on a Sunday night with only a couple tables left empty. We went it for a late dinner and cocktails. Their... Japanese margarita and pomegranate martini were delicious. There was a good selection of fish and their sushi was very fresh.The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the service was quite slow, even after the place quieted down, we waited a long time forour server to come to us. I enjoyed a phenomenal lunch yesterday for a very reasonable price. They let me customize my lunch special (upgraded soup and... salad for an up charge) and it was DELICIOUS! The shrimp curry is quite sweet, which I love, and is dairy free which is anecessity for me. Great service and enjoyable atmosphere all around! Read more
Decent place for tasty, delicate sushi. They have a nice selection of special rolls. We found the Peking Duck roll very unique.... The rolls have a very thin rice layer which also means you can eat more. Not the best place for things like general Tso orsesame chicken, though. One downside is that it usually takes quite long wait (10 min) to serve. Another thing is that wedidn’t like the vibe indoors, quite dark and oppression; outdoor is much better but usually crowded. Great sushi but long wait! I know it’s still hard times so we were super understanding of our busy waiter. The sushi rolls... were excellent! They had a ton of delicious appetizers. We had the white tuna appetizer, the tuna tartare appetizer, few rolls,and sashimi. We enjoyed everything we ordered….food just took a while. Read more
I liked eating here and going shopping at nearby stores at Cameron Village. It has great cushy indoor booths but most people... tend to prefer to sit outdoors. I enjoyed our salmon truffle and Peking duck roll appetizers. The fish was very fresh but thetemperature was a bit warm (prefer my sushi to be cold). The ice cream had good presentation but small quantities. The nigiriwas on the pricier side. There are better value spots in Raleigh for sushi, come here for the location mainly. Read more
