I loved the food! The wait staff, even though it was a slow afternoon did an OK job, but our water ran out more than once, and... the waiter picked something up from the floor before bringing our requested items without washing his hands. The atmosphere is alittle Stark but what the have is beautiful. The music was on the loud side causing my lunch date and I to have to speak loudlyto hear each other. I am disappointed, big time! My chicken chimi was soggy and the meat is really stringy and chewy. 2 bites was all I take so I... decided I would move on to desert... Deep fried cheesecake sounds amazing! Too bad it filled with a layer of nuts not mentionedin the detailed description. Thankfully I saw them before I ate it as I am allergic. I don't even need to explain how thatcould have turned out. I will say that I also order the Steak On The Border for my son. It was perfectly cooked and tastesgreat too! We have been coming here for the last couple of years & it keeps getting better & better. We used to be loyal to El Tapatio &... only very rarely chose another Mexican restaurant, but each time we have eaten from Baja it has gotten better. So Baja hasbecome our "go-to" place for Mexican. The food is fantastic & there is always enough for leftovers. Originally the only smallcomplaint we had was the taste of the salsa but at some point they changed it & now the salsa is the best in town. Read more
