My sister, my son and I decided to patronize this black owned establishment and I can tell you I was very disappointed from the... moment we walked in the door. The floor was so dirty our shoes were sticking to the floor. We had to wait to be seated, eventhough there was no one there. My sister ordered the Monster lobster roll but the waitress told her she would have to check ifthere was any lobster meat because they were out!!! Then she came back and said there was just enough to make the roll. We alsoordered lobster Mac n cheese but since there was no lobster we decided to leave. The waitress acted as if she had an attitudebecause we were leaving. We also ordered Mango lemonades which did not taste like lemonade at all and we offered to pay forthem. We were told not to worry about the drinks. After taking a sip, I wished I had left it on the table. Poor customerservice, lack of menu items, and uncleanliness was enough for me. Very disappointed. The macaroni had no cheese the rice was hard and I got some cheap gooey breaded chicken wings instead of real... wings. My rice was hard as a rock I sent a Direct message to the owner on Instagram because the pictures he?s posting is not thepictures of the actual food he?s giving out. it seems like this place can be hit or miss I ordered it last year and it was goodbut this time was horrible I guess it all depends who?s in the kitchen and possibly what time of day it is since they ran out ofcheese. The best in the Tri state area.I love the diverse menu, everything was fresh and the service was excellent! The portions are... VERY generous!!The atmosphere is cozy & comfortable yet the food was that of a 5 star restaurant in taste & presentation! Iwill be visiting again very soon, I highly recommend giving them a try!! I visited Cooks for lunch today with my sons. I?ve been going there for some time and I?ve never been disappointed with the... things I?ve tried on the menu. The kids also love the food. I ordered crab stuffed salmon, Mac and cheese and the kids had thebacon burger, which was big enough for them to split and fries. We also ordered the wings and salmon sliders, which is a newitem. The salmon in the sliders was so thick and juicy!. Everything was on point and the prices are in line with the quality andportion sizes. The service was also good. The main difference is that the menu has changed and the kids wanted the fried shrimpwhich was no longer on the menu. I called to order for pick up they made me pay upfront then called me back 10 mins later saying that they don?t have what I... ordered . I got something else instead and it looks disgusting . I called to see if they could help me she said to bring thefood back and wait 3-5 days for a refund . Soo disappointed. I was really looking forward to trying their menu.
