The Clambox is an institution in the Quincy area. No, it's not gourmet food and yes the best stuff on the menu is fried but... putting this in perspective the place was very good. Beautiful location right across from the beach and a nice outdoor patio fornicer weather. Inside seating area is mainly fast-food type booths. No table service here. You order at the counter and go getyour food when ready. My fried scallops were delicious as were the onion rings! Read more

great spot right on quincy shore drive with a perfect view of the Boston skyline. they have combo platter options where you can... order 2, 3, or all 4 choices from fish, scallops, whole belly clams, and shrimp. fresh and delicious. the staff wasaccommodating and friendly and you already know the bud heavy was ice cold! It wasn't a bad meal, just over-hyped in my opinion. We had heard about this place a few times and tried it out. The view is... perfect as it's right across the street from the beach. When we went in around 4pm there wasn't a line which was great. Howeverthe prices were a bit high in my opinion. We ordered the large fried calamari (which was $25+) and what came out wasn't exactlyworth the money. The food did come out very quick and was fresh but didn't really have a taste/flavor to it. Like I said itwasn't BAD but I was kinda expecting more considering so many people told us to go here. Read more

The lobster roll has enough meet to make two sandwiches. The meet is prepared with mayo but it's not overpowered by it. The... coleslaw is also delicious. A bit pricey but worth it. If getting a lobster roll, it's a better deal to get the plate asopposed to adding sides. The beach is right across the street. Perfect for a walk, a dip or just sit and enjoy the view. Read more

Great location, right across the street from Wollaston beach. The food here was also delicious with generous portions. They had... plenty of outdoor seating but it was too windy so we ended up sitting in a booth inside. Read more

This place gets VERY busy in the summer and during peak hours so be warned! That being said the staff is always friendly but it... is very low key dining. You can sit inside or outside. Soft drinks, napkins, utensils and condiments are self serve. You alsothrow your own trash away. I can recommend the fired clams with fries and slaw, philly cheese steak, and my favorite being theSouvlaki on pita (chicken) which was both tasty and massive. The popcorn shrimp was alright but would not order again. You canalso buy alcohol here. Read more

Nothing better than a beach side seafood "shack". Phenomenal clam chowder and a huge menu, really appreciate that they offer... sizes in meals. Staff was really friendly and it's always cool to see an owner manning the register and talking tocustomers. The downside is that my fried clams came out warm and a bit soggy like they might've been sitting for a bit. But theother two orders (fish and chips and crab cakes) came out crispy and warm. Stepping into The Clam Box is like stepping into the "good old days" old people always talk about. You get the feeling this... place hasn't really changed in the past couple of years, but in a good way. They've stayed true to what they are, which is agreat place to grab something to eat during a day at the beach. Food is uncomplicated but tasty, and service is friendly. Seatsare clean, views are great, and there is little to distract you from your family or friends or whoever you're with, outside ofyour phones. Still, if you're ever on Wollaston Beach, be sure to stop by and relax for a bit. Read more
