Fatbacks is hands down the best BBQ you're going to find in Quincy and the surrounding area. This family-owned small business... never fails to impress with fresh, delicious food served in generous portions by an incredible staff. Whether you're going witha meat platter or a sandwich, you're getting a decadent offering of succulent BBQ. If you leave hungry, you (somehow) did itwrong. A dining destination for sure! Read more
Unbelievably poor customer service. For the LAST time I've called and placed an order, waited their suggested 20 minutes (or... sometimes considerably more!), then when arriving to pickup my order I'm told "oh, we're out of that". Never a call back to letme know without wasting my time waiting for the order to be prepared. Never an apology of any type. Never any attempt to make itright. This has happened repeatedly - probably 5 or 6 times now. The food _IS_ good, that's why I kept giving them "another"chance. I like to try to support the local guy, but enough is enough. Read more
I have been here twice and each time the bbq, and staff, have been fantastic! The burnt ends, ribs, brisket, mac and cheese.... *Drools* If you're in Quincy to get your shot, or even visit, make time to visit Fatbacks. You won't regret it. Read more
Nice home town BBQ. Staff was friendly and easily ordered at the counter for 1st time customer. Had the fat back sandwich. BBQ... pork with slaw. Very good but a bit soggy bottom bun. Mac and cheese was well seasoned. Fair price. Pickle spear could bebetter. Overall nice place. Will be back to try more. Read more
Had a slab the prices are fair, middle of the road. Same can be said for the ribs. Not bad mind you but nothing you are going to... write home about. Now the sides are hit and miss. Some are better than others. I wasn't impressed with the beans, the potatosalad was spot on. Now the best thing was the cornbread. Oh my gosh that's worth the trip. I even got a corner piece and it wasstill the best thing on my plate. I did like their sweet heat sauce as well. The dry rub rack I got needed the sauce. If youenjoy BBQ as much as I do then you know as well, that when you have to keep reaching for the sauce it's not the best BBQ. It waskind of tough to chew as well. Now the real question would I go back? Yes I would return and I'd even suggest you try it. Forthe area (that's within a 50 mile radius) this is the best around. You would have to make a trip to Saint Louis or Kansas Cityto get better BBQ. Read more
The service was pretty good and quick. The issue was the food was dry and chewy. We are not sure if it was just a poor patch... of brisket and ribs on Wednesday evening. Read more
