I drive truck and whenever I get to Astoria from Niagara Falls,NY the night before my pick-up, I try to order from here it's one... of the best places I've ordered from. XING'S CHEF has become my regular go to Chinese Takeout/Delivery Restaurant. The food is consistently good to great, flavorful... and fresh. They more than meet my expectations for quality Chinese Takeout/Delivery in the Astoria/Ditmars area. Their customerservice is excellent from the moment the friendly voiced woman answers the phone and takes your order accurately, graciously andefficiently. Astoria, Queens is known for excellent quality Greek Food, Seafood and Italian Food. Xing's Chef now makes it aplace for excellent quality Chinese Takeout. Read more
Location is convenient and food is fresh and tasty. Having previously lived in Flushing off Main street in the center of... Mandarin Town, I can attest to the culinary quality - especially in comparison to my previous neighborhood. However, due to thepopularity, they are always busy. It is especially atrocious on Friday when they appear to be overwhelmed by orders. This isfamily owned and operated which translates into being cheap and short handed, thus getting orders mixed up or incorrect. Assuch, 3 stars is the best I can do considering the service or lack thereof. During the warmer months, the interior often servedas a daycare as well. A small Chinese boy would often yell with extreme exuberance "HI" to anyone entering and leaving. Afterthe first few dozen times, it gets rather annoying. I think I will shop elsewhere for Chinese at this point. Giving me theincorrect order is unacceptable when I have always remained consistent in the past with my take out. Read more
