Yes, the workers could use some customer service skills but this review is solely on the goods, not the services. The Metai is... tasty! We bought a lot to take back home (different state) with us. My favorite is the Cham Cham. It's a small shop and the lineis toward the end, not the beginning as you enter the shop. Seating is limited to about 10 ppl. Read more

I am writing this as I am standing inside maharaja sweets . I have never gotten this bad treatment from any food service before... . First , the two workers behind the counter treated me with so much hate when I told them which mithai I want in my boxes . Iordered $1,200 worth of mithai boxes and still they refused to put the mithai I want . I pointed at the mithai I wanted them toput inside the boxes that I ordered yet the mbecause it?s too much work . She said ?this is too hard to do ?. They are gettingpaid to put the mithai I want inside the boxes and the business will get $1,200 from the amount of boxes I ordered . Then , asI waited for my boxes , I asked one of the ladies to put 8 samosas for me and to put it with my order . The lady refused andsaid to go to the front . Then when I went to the front , a lady with dark brownish hair halted at me when I asked her forsamosas . She said in hindhi ? the person is putting ur mithai will put ur samosas ?. I said who ? And she said ? who cares ?. Then I said who and she didn?t say anything but kept glaring at me . She glared at me so much even when I moved away toanother worker . Then I gave up and got samosas from across the street. I?m never coming here again in my life . The way I wastreated by not only one but three different workers inside maharaja is something I will never forget . Read more

I have been going to this place for Indian sweets for at least 15 years or more. I like their carrot halwa. If you warm it... little bit then it is even better. They have fresh food as well for someone who wants to dine in. Overall good place to eat ifyou are in Jackson heights south east Asian Market. Read more

I used to buy from that place almost 10 years ago when Quality was great but I stopped by couple days ago and it was so crowded... but the Quality went down a lot. In the old days I never felt the sugar in my mouth and it never gave me heartburn but this timethe sugar is heavily clear and it gave me severe heartburn. So bad! Read more

If you have not been, then you?ve been missing out on the best sweets in NYC. Yes they?re slightly more expensive than the other... sweets places nearby, but it?s that way because they are quality. Mouth watering sweets, so much variety. I have to buy twoboxes for a household that doesn?t even eat sweet stuff because we can?t get enough of this. You can get sweets by the pound oreach piece solo for $2 each. They give half pound of the same mathai but no mix n match. That?s probably the only downside. Butdefinitely go check them out. The staff is also very nice, respectful and patient! Read more

They serve a variety of vegetarian Indian food, snacks including chat, poori ,samosas. Also they sell Indian sweets. Sweets in... general are high quality. Samosa chat and other snacks are good. Prices are reasonable. Only issue is very slow service. Theservers are couple of middle aged ladies who will go on their own slow pace even if you are waiting for 20 minutes. Read more
