This was our Thanksgiving spot this year, the food was scrumptious, fresh, outstanding servive in a great and quaint atmosphere,... Kui was our host he went above and beyond, made our first experience a memorable one, including the picture to hang on his wall.We made reservations the day prior since we were traveling from up north. Great place for affordable and amazing Korean food. Dropped by for lunch on my way to the airport. I got the lunch special... bulgogi stew and the fried croquettes, and both were great. I liked that the stew wasn't too greasy, and it tasted just like theones I ate growing up in Seoul. Topped with Korean style tonkatsu gravy, the fried croquettes were also really good. The sidedishes were just okay, but they were still better than the ones at average Korean restaurants in the city. Read more

A cozy place to eat traditional Korean dishes! Very friendly staff and the overall atmosphere is great! Grilled Mackerel -... Perfectlly cooked and very tasty! Soyben Stew - Traditional taste, can't go wrong with this paired with the grilled Mackerel andrice. Bulgogi - A must have for Korean food fanatics! Seafood Tofu Stew -A bit on the salty side, but overall good. SeafoodScallion Pancake - My wife loved it so much I only get to eat two pieces. Homemade Dumplings - Tasted a bit more on the Westernside, than Korean, but it is still good. Banchan - A staple on every Korean restaurant, well-prepared. Kimchi - Loved it! Read more

Cute little spot for korean food. Loved this place, as not only they served scrumptious food they also provided great service... (Sophie is a legend, funny, honest, and sweet!). They even added the glass noodles in to the Teriyaki chicken for my dish. Propsto the chef. My friend ordered spicy pork and that was also a big win. Only thing to note for outdoor eating, the three blindmice might have been living under the floor in the outdoor seating (ahh NYC life, but don't worry we didn't see them, just heardthem. I've noticed this happening in a lot of outdoor eating areas lately in NYC). Inside the restaurant is perfectly fine, nicebathroom, really clean. Overall a wonderful place for some good EATZ. Would definitely come back! Read more

I had a fantastic meal. KAL has a small indoor and an outdoor dining area. It's cozy though I'm sure it can feel a little... cramped when it's really busy (though I've yet to be there at those times). The staff was attentive and personable - food wasreally good! The portions and taste definitely justified the price. Will keep returning to try many things from the menu! Read more

Service is great! Drinks came fast and waitress Sophia was quick to accommodate, even if you?re on a time schedule during lunch... break. The tteokbokki is my personal fave, ratio of sweetness to spicy is perfect and the soup isn?t too watery, rice cakes arethick and the whole dish is full of flavor! I recommend it with cheese. My boyfriend got the beef stew and complained that mostrestaurants make the stew too sickly sweet, but the one here was just right for him, reasonable prices for the quality andamount of food you get. Wish I could visit more often if I didn?t live so far :(( Read more
