I got a lemongrass chicken sandwich, caramel pork bowl, and crispy chicken wings. Everything was high quality and quite good,... especially the crispy chicken wings. I was honestly blown away by the fried chicken, really unlike any fried chicken that I?veever had ????. Had I not had the chicken wings, JoJu would probably be four stars, but the chicken wings made all thedifference. Five stars!! Read more

3.5 stars. Overpriced for bahn mi. I think the charge was ~$16 for the beef bulgogi. The taste of the sandwich was good and... filled to the brim, but way too oily. I felt groggy after eating it. Def recommend to drain/pat the oil before putting in thesauce and flavor. The Bahn Mi Saigon in Chinatown, Manhattan will always be the winner ???? in terms of taste and price. $8.50for grilled chicken sandwich---can't beat that! (Used to be ~$5 back in them days!) JoJu is a good spot for those who don'twant to spend more than $20 for food. They have a lot of diff choices (Asian Fusion) that I've never seen before; so it's quiteoriginal. A lot of young adults come here. I wouldn't stay here to eat unless you don't mind smelling like old oil at the end ofthe day---bad ventilation. Read more

I honest to god love joju. Granted, I only eat their sandwiches maybe 4-5 times a year when it is convenient but the amount of... people that I have put onto this place is fairly high. If you are into the pickled carrots and vegetables they load you up forany sandwich. The sandwiches are a little expensive but I will let it slide because damn this sandwich is good. Shoutout toMandy she is lovely. Read more

My boyfriend and I walked here on a whim, so delicious! Extremely fresh and the service was impeccable. We shared the pork belly... banh mi. Bread was crisp but fresh and soft on the inside, pork belly was perfectly rendered without being over cooked. So good!Next time i want to try everything else the menu was simple but perfect. We weren?t even hungry when we stopped in on a Saturday at around 2:30 pm. We just happened to be in the area and I?ve been... wanting to try this for a while, so we decided to pop in. There were a lot of people ordering food for takeout the whole time wewere there, even at such a weird meal hour. That?s gotta be saying something. Orders take about 15 minutes so I?d recommendordering ahead if you can. If we hadn?t eaten lunch two hours ago, my husband and I would have ordered a lot more. Instead, weshared the Joju fries (JoJu?s banh mi inspired fries, topped with spicy mayo, spicy green sauce, pickled daikon & carrots, andfresh cilantro) and the JoJu banh mi (classic Vietnamese ham, headcheese, pâté spread & BBQ Pork). The fries themselves wereamazing. It?s coated in batter (?) and double fried, which is the type of fries I like because the batter makes it extra crispyand flavorful. However, all the toppings on top of eating a banh mi was a bit too much. If I was just eating the fries, I wouldprobably add meat + a runny egg. But eating it with a banh mi, I would have preferred the fries plain (with a side of theirspicy green sauce, which is crack. Also appreciate that they don?t charge extra for dipping sauces). The banh mi could be one ofthe better banh mis I?ve had in my life. It?s stuffed with ingredients and I don?t just mean they?ve filled it with veggies. They are super generous with the meat. The bread is also toasted perfectly. For drinks, I had the Vietnamese iced coffee, whichwas perfect. Not too sweet and not too bitter. It was the perfect pick me up. Husband had the taro milkshake with tapioca, whichwas too sweet for me but he liked it. I?m not sure when I?ll be back since this location is far from me but I?m looking forwardto trying their more conveniently located Midtown location. There are still so many menu items I need to eat/drink! Read more
