Went in today to get fried rice and duck curry. The food was good. But the duck curry given barely had any gravy. 1/4 of the... dhal pouri finished the gravy. For the price charged. Visited on 9/17, there was a lady there that was extremely rude to the girls working. Idk if she is a manager or owner but had... alot of attitude toward the girls. Don't like supporting business that treat their employees like trash. To that woman - BeBetter. 1 star is because of the way you were behaving. Other than that, they have a good selection of food. Worse food ever! The first time I ordered cookup rice and it was spoiled, I called and told them about it, they said to go in... and I can take what ever I want, I took chowmin with chicken, it's unbelievable! We decided to try Hack?s Halal after having had great experience at the original in Georgetown, Guyana many years ago. It was... late but the staff were courteous and friendly; the portions were good (fried rice and chowmein) and the environment was clean.The food, however, while delicious did not meet the quality of the original Hack?s. After having a bad experience I decided to give this place another go . I ordered BBQ chicken ( the one they do on the grill on... weekends) and it was perfect ! Very homemade like. As for the complimentary rice it was very tasty, fresh and not oily. I hatewhen restaurant feel the need to add tons of oil to their food . I indulge in fast food once in a while and I still like to feelas though I?m not compromising with my health . Good job ! Will be back ! If you want to hop on the eggball band wagon, HACKS HALAL is the place to be. Wow! The eggball is so crunchy on the outside and... soft and flavorful on the inside. Just perfect!
