Reviews for Haat Bazaar Restaurant in Queens, NY
Food tastes better at home. Fish fry was cooked in old oil. Rice is dry. Overall, everything tastes like warmed up left overs.... Two can dine for about $40. I do not recommend this place for Bengali cuisine. However, the staff is very friendly andcourteous. If I have no choice, then this place is a good option for late night eatery. Update... I had a stomach ache a fewhours later.. could've been from the tap water served there. Read more
Dirty environment. Atmosphere and service is similar to those low-scale street-side restaurants that you see in Bangladesh but... usually avoid. Food also tastes bad. They think just putting loads of oil and chilli in everything is how you cook food. I hopepeople from other countries don't get the idea that this is the actual quality of Bangladeshi restaurants and their services. Wehave good places there even at much cheaper equivalent rates. Used to come here for halim and Naan. Came to eat here after long time..worst food ever now. They don't have parata nor garlic... Naan. Only plain Naan which comes from different store that looks to be very old. Mooglai seems to be only dough with verylittle egg..very disappointing.. Read more
I had lunch at Haat Bazaar Restaurant and had a fantastic time. I'm going there for the first time their foods are amazing,... especially the Fish menu. I order Ilish pulao, mutton kacchi biryani, and Golda chingri. I tried Ilish pulao, and Golda chingrifor the first time. I'm in love with their Ilish pulao definitely trying it again. honestly, golda chingri wasn't the best Ibelieve because it didn't taste fresh enough but if anyone went to Bangladesh they may like the fish there since they're fresherthan the one we can get in the USA. The waiter was friendly and polite. If you enjoy Bengali cuisine, this is a must-try place. Read more
