Great little dinner. Very friendly staff and food came out quick. My eggs were a bit over but everyone else enjoyed their meal.

I made a order for me and my wife for lunch. The food came, but I also ordered 3 sodas with the meal. The food was very good and... tasty. The diner sent the sodas out on his next run, but it was almost 20 minutes later and 2 of the cups of sodas fell over andsoaked the bag. I ordered a root beer and 2 sprite sodas, but I got instead 2 ginger ale sodas. I and my wife were verydisappointed with the service. Read more

Chances are, if you're not from the immediate area (i.e., Glendale) and you're definitely not a regular or even a semi-regular... at this place, you'll get the cold shoulder from most of the waitresses here. I'm from Ridgewood, so I suppose that'spractically a world away for these folks, even though Glendale and Ridgewood are technically next-door neighbours. I came hereon the Saturday of a long holiday (Labor Day) weekend. After perusing the old-school diner menu for upwards of five minutes, Idecided on a breakfast platter. My breakfast platter consisted of two scrambled eggs (you get to choose the style of eggpreparation, which is routine when you order eggs at a diner), two standard-size slices of white toast (wheat or other kinds arenot an option, on the menu or otherwise) and home fries. The eggs were good enough, the toast was basic but made more palatablethanks to the runny butter spread all over, but the home fries were like eating slimy discs of rubber erasers. My husbandbelieved the potatoes used in the platter were at least two weeks old. Perhaps that was the case but these were among some ofthe worst home fries I'd ever had at a diner. The overall portion size of the breakfast platter was generous enough, though.Whether due to the overall portion size itself or my particular dislike of the home fries, I predictably did not finish it. Forthe individual components, I would give the eggs 4/5, the toast 3.5/5 and the home fries a 1/5. Both my husband and I also hadthe iced coffee from this diner. It was quite bland and tasteless and made only a bit better with the small serving of sugar Iallowed myself to dispense into my glass. Though I'd been to this diner at least once before, it was very long ago(pre-pandemic) and due to my own brain fog these days, I cannot remember what my previous experience dining here was like. However, this go-around, I can only give my experience a 2.5/5 star experience. Had to wait for our order to be served, but it was a long weekend and they were short staffed, so can't complain. Food was good,... lot of options for omelette, good place to hang out for late morning brunch and catch up with friends and family. Read more
