Flushing?s food scene has seen tremendous growth recently and it?s pretty clear which restaurants are in that newer batch -... there is usually a ridiculously long wait time for a table at those establishments. Congee Village Flushing (sister restaurantof the two locations in Chinatown Manhattan) is now considered one of the older restaurants in Flushing at this stage, and doesnot see the crowds - and for that we should be thankful. There is an abundance of seating here so you?ll get seated immediately,AND you?ll find consistently solid classic Cantonese fare. Some highlights from our meal were the Peking style pork chops, shitake mushroom e-fu noodles, and pan fried bean curd with soy sauce. Pro tip that I got from an auntie is to tip the waitstaffin cash while you are ordering to get supreme service (I should honestly do that more often at more places). She did so thistime and at the end of our meal we got complimentary left-over dim sum (fried glutinous rice dumplings and char siu puff pastry)from the day?s brunch service - which still tasted great. Highly recommend Congee Village to skip the lines. Read more

Great place to go on a Saturday morning. No crowd at opening at 11am. Food was flesh. Portions were large. Price was on the... higher end. Aggressive dim sum ladies that aim to push food onto you. Feel free to say no. Clean place Read more

I don?t understand all the negative reviews. This place is great. They have the best congee in all of Flushing. Their sampan... congee and thousand year egg with pork are my top favorites. I?m glad I can still order from their lunch menu during dinner timebecause it really helps me out financially when I only need the food for my toddler. I ordered from Uber eats and my food camein hot! Everything was delicious. My son is a picky eater but he ate all the rice and Peking pork chop off his little plate. Heeven asked for seconds! I?m glad they?re in Flushing now. The one in Chinatown was a classic. Good, decent prices too. For thosepeople complaining about the congee coming in a quart container-all congee from everywhere come in quart containers. Also keepin mind, Uber eats and for dash pay restaurants half or more of what they charge, and they still fill their congee up to therim. I hope they don?t go out of business. This is probably one of the last Cantonese congee restaurants left in Flushing. Read more

Definitely go with a very large group to eat family style! Fantastic service. I used to live in Taiwan and Singapore as a kid... and this experience was so nostalgic. Its hard to go wrong with anything on the menu, and vegetarians need not be intimidated-there's plenty of veggie options for you. Overall, the atmosphere is amazing- and the price is incredibly affordable when youhave 10+ people in your party Read more
