My favorite was their special yesterday, Homemade Pasta Tartufo with Shredded truffels and Parpadelle bolognese. All of their... pastas are absolutely delicious- you cannot go wrong. Incredible. Authentic. Friendly family owned. Nice Neighborhood. Worth the drive from Manhattan In more depth, the food is the... best Italian food I've had. The owner is friendly, often comes out to tables to check on you, and is just so passionate aboutfood and keeping it authentic (he was born in Italy). this place has honestly been one of the best dining experiences of mylife, only compatible with Michelin star restaurants. P place is New York!!! it's in Queens and from the moment you arrive you get that classic New York feel. Someone greets you at... the door or they see you at a table it's super charming. Many restaurants have lost their New York charm but this place holdsonto it. The food is spectacular from first bite to desert there was nothing we didn't love it was as if someone's grandmotherwas in the kitchen cooking it with love. EVEN THE BATHROOMS WERE CLEAN!!! Wow, food here is excellent and it's nice to try dishes that are Southern inspired, as I usually only dine in Northern style... Italian restaurants. Service is friendly and attentive. Areas are cozy! Never know there is an Italian Restaurant nearby and pretty fair in food quality and price. Grilled octopus was great, juicy and... tender and not cooked and too chewy, highly recommended to try. Baby octopus was today?s special and the tomato sauce was also agood match too. Seafood pasta, ox tail ravioli were delicious and the pistachio crusted trout was nice too. What a wonderful experience! We had my mother?s birthday dinner tonight and were impressed! Easy parking, inviting welcome, and... seated immediately. For starters we had the mixed seafood, especially loved the calamari and shrimp. The grilled octopus wastender. The buffalo mozzarella excellent. I had the cacio a Pepe perfectly prepared al dente. Chicken Francese was delicious andalso tried my mother?s veal special breaded and topped with Parmesan. I love that the food was tasty but didn?t feel heavy.
