An authentic 100% halal Indonesian spot! Their chicken satay glazed with peanut sauce was phenomenal with a side of seaweed... salad. The remdanng, soto ayam and java fried noodles were a staple at this location. Don?t forget the side dish of spicy sambalto tune your comfort level of spice. I enjoyed the seaweed salad but i had to try the Indo authentic dishes. The sate Ayam wassweet of course I had to dip mine in spicy sambal. I absolutely loved The nasi rendang which had chunks of juicy, shredded beefbattered in pepper and stewed overnight. The pickled cucumbers on the side sure added flavor! That krupuk was so crunchy Icould?ve punched on an entire plate. The soto ayam and bihun goreng jawa were chef recommended. It?s a must try! Don?t forgetthe Thai iced tea and coffee! Read more

Staff was friendly and the food was delicious! Due to Covid-19, we ate outside which was nice. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to... substitute the rice with coconut rice as they ran out of coconut rice and also, we were not given any krupuk with the meals :/nevertheless, it was delicious Indonesian food and definitely worth a try! From the outside, this place looks like your typical takeout spot, especially with the more generic name, but don?t be... fooled When I asked the waitress about the most common, traditional village-style Indonesian soup, The economical-to-make SotoAyam was the first on her mind. Every culture has their own version of chicken noodle soup, from the Jews eating Matzo ballsoup, Indians w/their Maggi, and Indonesia is no exception: Soto Ayam has lots of herbs, garlic, tumeric, egg, shallots, amongstothers, with a very strong flavor to it. I had a slight cold earlier this week and this was the perfect medicine 2nd dish: Javafried rice with beef rendang: Battered with tumeric, garlic, an egg, and shredded chicken, this was exactly what I needed today.Beef rendang came with it, which is a chunk of juicy, shredded chunk of beef battered in pepper and stewed overnight - Eatingmy way through immigrant-owned small businesses in NYC... Beautiful and cozy dining area. Their Thai iced coffee, calamari, and lamb on stick were tasty and served in right amount. The... serving time was also just right. It's hard finding indonesian restaurants, so finding this one made it valuable and worthvisiting. Read more
