Reviews for SHAKER food & mixology - Cap-Rouge in Québec, QC

Unfortunately, my spouse and I did not have a good experience. Our server was blunt and cold, and the restaurant was “out”... of several ingredients, so we kept having to change our order because they couldn’t make the dish/drinks. My spouse has agluten allergy; when she ordered a baked potato, the server returned saying everything they cook it in was contaminated. Therestaurant was busy, and our server said the kitchen wouldn’t make the time to clean the station as “they had othercustomers to serve”. We asked what ingredients in a baked potato would be cross-contaminated with gluten (in hopes to makesubstitutions), and the server said “I don’t know. They just can’t do it.” They didn’t offer us any alternativeoptions or accommodations. We were also seated awkwardly next to the garbage/server’s stand where servers were practicallytripping over each other dumping other tables’ cleared dishes/food every few seconds. We did have another staff member come byour table and offer to move us, although we had already finished our salads and were waiting for the bill. Not a pleasantexperience. Read more

We loved the drinks here! I’m obsessed they were so good. Food was great too! Music was poppin. We need SHAKER in the US plz!!

First things first: significantly overrated. People think shaker is cool because other people tell them it is, not because it... actually is. The food is average if not below, the drinks taste like nothing and the music is so loud as early as 8pm so youcan’t even hear the person across the table from you to have a conversation. We literally ended up eating in silence becausethere was no point in screaming. I ordered the fruisilow drink and it tasted like carbonated water instead of strawberry. Iwould literally never go back unless there’s legitimately an occasion that I don’t want to miss (a friend’s birthday,etc). The music choice is good, but they have a screen playing random music videos that don’t match the song that’s actuallyplaying. Two things that I did like are: 1- the service cube on the table (photos attached) 2- the titles made of littlelightbulbs (photos attached) PS: their only vegan/vegetarian options are the vegan burger and probably mushroom burger. This place is great! Atmosphere here is amazing and the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what... they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Cocktails are amazing and the foodis pretty good too, for their prices it’s 100% worth it. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Wouldlove to visit again someday. Thank you! Wide variety of good drinks, excellent tatar, good burgers and poutines. The staff is very friendly and quick.
