We had a very good brunch here. Classic dishes offered. Friendly service. Gorgeous cappuccinos with the lightest frothed milk... I have ever had! Read more

Quelle belle ambiance sur l?Avenue Cartier! The same can be said about sitting outside for a superb meal at this wonderful gem... of a restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant and I highly recommend that you try the Krieghoff crouton au gratin. If yourmouth isn?t watering after seeing this menu choice? By the way, it tastes as good as it looks! Read more

Nice neighborhood cafe with a solid menu and bar. Very convenient to the Art Museum and Plains of Abraham. Great place to get a... bite to eat and people watch, also. Not a destination but definitely a good choice if you are near. Read more

Charging for an empty plate?! We made a quick stop here for coffee and a snack but nothing too big. I ordered a large smoked... salmon salad which came in a cramped bowl with no dressing on it and the salad itself was not prepared or mixed. The mostbizarre part of this Bistro was when we asked for an extra empty plate to mix the salad, the waitress informed us that it wouldbe an additional charge for an empty plate! This is unheard of even in Quebec eateries. Very poor food, service, quality. Read more

Great ambiance but food not so great. I ordered chicken fajitas for lunch today, $19.99 plus tax and tip and quality was low. ... Wraps were very chewy as though they were old or very cheap quality, guacamole was super thick and no taste so probably from agiant tub and not homemade, and cheese was also no taste and low quality. The chicken was quite tasty but for a fajitas dishand the price having just good chicken wasn?t enough to make me feel I would want it again. Service was Pretty good with verynice waitress and wait wasn?t long, seating nice w options of booth or chair. My companion ordered breakfast which was goodprice and overall seemed good food value Read more

We were referred to this cafe by our hotel and it was great. Poutine breakfast was decadent. It?s cozy and divided into rooms... so if you don?t mind crowds it?s great. French toast is very plain unless you have add ins. Eggs Benny were excellent. Read more

Stayed here for the weekend of August 1st. Have only positive to say about this experience. Very friendly and professional... staff, clean rooms, great food at the cafe. I liked that rooms had bathrobes, shower caps, a box with q tips and nail file. Idid miss having a fridge in the room and a coffee machine. Wasn?t able to find coffee or tea in the lobby either, but having acafe downstairs certainly helped. The cafes on the streets close around 10-11pm, bars close (i think) at 2am. If you plan tovisit old Quebec, be prepared for about a 25 minute walk. The hotel is very close to a beautiful park. We went with a 2 yearold, and in my opinion this trip would have been much better if we left our little one at home. There were a lot of bars andpatios to enjoy wine, beer, and ice cream, but not a lot of locations for little kids (not that we looked for those). Most staffknew at least a little bit of English, and everyone was very friendly, and patient with our lack of knowledge of French. Thestay was very good. Read more
