Reviews for AUX ANCIENS CANADIENS - Cuisine Québécois / Steak / Fruit in Québec, QC
Wonderful experience. Delightful service. Great food. We were there as part of a package deal so we chose from a limited... menu, but that was better for us because absolutely everything looked so good. Historic building with marvelous wood carvingart. The food was amazing and Nicholas was helpful, attentive, knowledgeable, friendly. It's a must see... Bon appetit! Read more
Delicious and authentic! One of the best meals we had in Quebec City! Would recommend to everyone who?s visiting the area. The... set menu may seem pricey at first but the quality and variety of food is worth it. Do get the Escargot for $7 more if you can!Absolutely delicious~ So was the bison meat fondue! So yummy! The house wine was meh but what can you expect with wine thatcomes included in a meal like this? The meat tart is super delicious and so were the side dishes! We?ll definitely visit againif we?re ever in the area! Read more
Sweet little restaurant which is located in the oldest house in Quebec City. Fast service with limited but traditional... dishes. Worth going for the experience but we felt the staff are too jaded with the fame of the place and do not take care ofcustomers. Avoid the set menu which comes with (in my opinion) terrible wine and service to go with it. Best to go for one ofthe dishes from the main menu and choose wine from the list. Read more
We had the best time last time there, our waitress was fantastic, the food was delicious, the beer was great! I had the wild... meat cretons as my appetizer which was some of the best cretons I've had, for my meal I had the Lac St. Jean meat pie which waspretty good as well (though next time I'll try something else), and the tarte au sucre for dessert which was the best, and Iactually didn't get much of a sugar rush afterwards which is a good thing. Lovely, affordable, and vegan-friendly. They let us share the courses (cutting the bill in half). One of us had the starter and... the dessert while the other of us had the main course. It was plenty of food for two. Read more
Authentic french restaurant. We got the daily special which comes with the soup , the entree and the dessert along with a house... wine or beer We got the bison entree which was spectacular to go with the fresh creamy onion soup . We tasted the apple wine forthe first time and loved it and the maple syrup pie is to die for. The food seems to be a little pricey but the experience oftasting some authentic food along with the energetic servers simply serves the purpose. And they speak perfect english to helptourists like us. Located in the street of old Quebec, highly recommended!! Read more
Amazing experience! The 3 meats meal was tender and so worth the expense. Dessert the chocolate pie with salted caramel divine.
We had the best time at this rustic and charming spot. Our server on our first visit, Naika, was exceptional. She was attentive... and so lovely letting us try our French. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were large. The maple syrup pie was sogood we returned for another piece on our last night in QC after eating dinner at a different spot! Gabriel, our server, was funand made sure the pieces were big! We will return! Read more
