Sadly the fries were the best part of the meal. Chopped brisket and pulled pork tasted exactly the same and were very greasy.... The ribs were so overcooked the bones were soft. Also the the onion and 2 pickles were cute on the old elementary schooltrays. Edit... since the owner feels the need to defend the grocery store bbq in a bucket he sells. We went on a Wednesdaynight not on a sunday like he thinks. Claims he spends 32 hours on the brisket and 12 on the pork smoking them, he needs tospend some of that time figuring out how to season his meat properly. Read more

10/29/22 I ordered the two meat plate (brisket and ribs) with potato salad and okra. My first impression was they were they were... a little stingy with the okra and ribs and the food is served on a school lunch tray. I don't really care what the food isserved on but I know some of you whiny drivers will probably cry about it. The ribs were very tinder and juicy. The brisketwasn't as juicy but still very good. The potato salad was a traditional southern potato salad and was great. The okra was tenderand good. The prices are great. Overall, the food was great and i ate way too much. I'm miserable now and I have 570 miles todrive. The waitress was a cute young lady that seemed very shy. A little more engaging would be great, ie: check with the guestafter they start their meal to make sure everything is well. Also, the bbq sauce tasted like regular plain sauce off a storeshelf. You could make your own and really make the meal pop. Not complaints, just suggestions. Anyway, I know some of you whinysteering wheel holders will find something to complain about but I thought it was great and really appreciate a real restaurantnext to a truck stop. Thank you! Good service but the food was pretty lacking. I got a sausage and pulled pork sandwich and neither really had any discernible... flavors. The barbecue sauce overall is pretty flat and unremarkable They were sold out of brisket and ribs so maybe those wouldbe better but overall not worth stopping for Read more

Awesome little diner right by Love?s Travel Stop that has that small town, down home vibe. The place is kinda small but the food... was excellent. I got the Famous Baked Potato and it was enough food to share between two, but I somehow managed to almost finishit. The service was fast and friendly. They serve breakfast all day and also have BBQ, Tex-Mex, and country classics likehamburger steak and chicken fried steak. Will definitely visit again! Read more
