Chips & Salsa are always a hit in my book, I would eat them till we get up to leave if my husband wouldnt have moved them out of... my reach. Our dinner was also delicious- Pollo en Crema w/out mushrooms, which we shared. Portions are good sized, as there wasmore than enough food for both of us. Strawberry Margarita was also good- tasty. I feel their prices are below average. Ourserver also happened to be the hostess & she was the only visible waitstaff in the dining room. She was very unprofessional-continually texting or looking at her cell phone which was located behind the counter by the entrance. There were more thanenough guests to keep her busy. Restrooms were clean. I can see parking possibly a problem, depending on date & time you arethere . However, parking was not a problem when we were there. Read more
I'll start by saying the staff was amazing and very attentive. The food and salsa though was terrible. The salsa tasted less... flavorful than something from Safeway's select line. The flautas I got were burnt and the chicken was extremely dry (see photo). The flavor of those was less than gas station crispitos. I can't knock the pricing for the small serving size and infusion, butit was less than what you'd get nearly anywhere else. This is my second chance with this place. Both times were underwhelming.Maybe I just know better since the East side of Tacoma has many authentic places and at the very least has flavorful salsa atnearly every place. I'm sorry for the bad review, I really just want people to know what they're getting here for their money.Edit: previous review for places that are ten minutes from this restaurant that are better -I personally like El Taco Bus bestfor fresh. Taco Guyamas for a really satisfying flavor that's usually cooked well and doesn't feel as heavy but also having thebest salsa's, at least before covid. So, to each their own, but Los Tamales is very unique and stacks high in some regards tothe rest around here. And these right here all within distance of each other I mentioned are likely the best around possiblyincluding Antojo's. I've eaten at many places around town the other places down 72nd just aren't as good in my opinion Read more
My 2 daughters took for Father's Day lunch. I had 2 enchiladas a la creme. So delicious. I told my girls when my plate was... served that there was no way I could eat all that. Moments later my youngest daughter replied "Dad I thought you were going tosave half. Hey when it's good it's Great.LOL Read more

Only gripe was that it took a little longer than I'd have liked to get seated and served during a weekday lunch time. The food... was excellent, the service was just right (once it got going), the place was clean and had good music and atmosphere. Willdefinitely be back! Read more
