The food was quite good, large portions lots of different teas based and loose leaf, Very quiet, it borders on boring. There was... more action at my uncle Vinnie funeral than at this restaurant. However sometimes that's exactly what someone my be looking for.The staff were kind and reserved. The nose ring on the cashier seemed out of place but ...to each his own. Read more

I would give this place 5 stars for the scones alone. I came here with my mom and daughter for afternoon tea and it was... everything I had hoped for and more. We did the childrens afternoon tea and my daughter loved it. The atmosphere was casual andsweet. I?ve only every had afternoon tea one other time in my life and that was at the empress hotel in Victoria, BC, and Iwould say I loved this almost just as much. The staff are lovely. I would say (and I don?t mean this in a negative way at all)that I wouldn?t come expecting to be waited on. Whenever I wanted something or needed something I just got up and asked andwhatever I needed was brought promptly. Just an observation in case you are expecting a typical American dine out where you areasked every so often if you need something. Love love love this place and can?t say enough good things about it. This review is solely for the tea service, in which I was disappointed. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat or a cafe to... stop by in, this is great for that. If you are looking for an elegant, fancy tea experience, just with friends or for a nicecelebration, like others that I have been to, this is not it. I want to start by saying the staff was very nice and we wereseated right away. I would say half of a ?tea experience? is the atmosphere and again, this is not it. The room in the backlooked half finished, plain empty walls, no decor. . The only exception was a vase of plastic flowers on the table but the tablewas so tiny, and with the tea pots and food tray, it was more of a nuisance. We were served with plain white plates and whitecups (I expected some nice china like at other tea service places I?ve been to). My other complaint is the very noisy AC thatwas blowing: a tea is supposed to be a slow, relaxing experience and I felt like ?lets hurry up and get the heck outtahere.? That being said, I understand it?s an old building, and unless the building owner wants to update, that ain?t happening.Yes the room was a comfortable cool temperature, so I guess the choice was between it being hot af or noisy. I understand but itstill impacted the overall experience. At other tea services I?ve been to, I was also used to someone coming by and seeing if weneeded anything else, or maybe more tea, and this didn?t happen here either. Again, this review is solely for the tea package,so you aren?t disappointed like I was. If you are looking for a special experience where you dress up and want to maybecelebrate an occasion, I do not recommend this at all, but would recommend the other places in WA that specialize in this sortof experience. If you are in the area and need a bite to eat or a place for a lunch date with a friend, then this is perfect forthat. Again the staff members we spoke with were very nice, to leave on a positive note. Read more

British Bites have lovely imported traditional treats as well as a full kitchen making baked goods and delicious savory bites.... In addition they do a tea sitting with little savory sandwiches and sweets with potted tea blends of your choosing. Their hardwork and dedication to English hospitality is second to none! Read more
