Our experience at Otium Cellars was through the VRBO property, which I highly recommend. The atmosphere here is so relaxing and... the property is just lovely. The red flight is a great place to start. I particularly enjoyed the Cuvee, Malbec, and theCabernet. The staff was very accommodating, building us a roaring fire on a beautiful fall evening. The three meals chefprepared were outstanding and plentiful. I plan to go back for the chicken and waffles, which I didn't get to try this time. This is a unique property. Read more

This review is for both Otium Cellars and their Gruner Bungalow on the property. Both were fantastic! We stayed at the bungalow... for a 3 night work meeting. The staff was amazing and accommodating. Exhausted after a long day of strategizing, they set up thefire at the cellars for us (which was a stone's throw away from the house btw) where we unwound and drank delicious wine. Themeals prepared by their chef were in great amount and devoured. SO GOOD! My team has had these meetings for many years and allagreed this was the best one, and it had a lot to do with the tranquil environment they created. Thank you! Read more

A lot of local wineries in the area, the question is what sets each one apart. Otium has a fantastic chef on the weekend. ... Really, sets the winery apart from the rest. The staff there are great. Always personable, always engaging. The gentleman Iassume is the manager is the same way. Wife enjoys the 2017 Chardonnay Reserve, I usually get the Blaufränkisch. Greatatmosphere and certainly a local go to for us. Nice to have a place like this so close. Read more

Friendly and helpful staff with delicious German style wines. The views are picturesque and the neighbors have horses. Not much... to complain about here. Read more

Boycott this place! Worst experience ever at a winery! I am a person with a disability and have a small service dog. We were... the only people in the place yet the employee could barely acknowledge we were there. Then she saw my service dog and veryrudely told us dogs were not allowed and had to go. When I tried to tell her it is a service dog and actually illegal to ask usto leave, but she wouldn't listen and actually said she didn't care that it has to go! We left angry at being discriminatedagainst and in shock at her ignorance! We wont be back, and I would encourage everyone else to not support a place with suchterrible customer service. I will be contacting the owner! Read more

Been members for 5+ years; always enjoy the wine. Owners are German and the style is, shockingly, German. Some original... varietals you won't find anywhere else in Loudon County. Nice tasting room, beautiful views, well worth the visit. Read more
