Kinda family thing. We have been going to Jo's for decades. The latest version is true to Jo's original place and the recipes... have not changed. It is absolute pure McClain and Cleveland County comfort food... we always drive to Purcell to reminisce overawesome pizza, great atmosphere, wonderful staff and a restaurant full of friends and family. Exactly the way Jo wanted herplace to be! Read more

We went this past week after hearing Jo's was one of the best pies in Oklahoma. We ordered 2 smalls. A three meat and a... taco. The 3 meat was average at best. The taco, however was phenomenal. The waitress was very friendly and helpful butfor the price tag (plus the added fees they pass onto you if you use a credit card), I doubt we'll be back. Read more

I was working in Purcell. Saw the lunch special on Google maps. Decided to give it a try. Got my tea and the best salad I have... ever had at a pizza joint within minutes. The blue cheese is outstanding. Then this lunch went off the rails. I got my lilpizza 45 minutes after I ordered. Table of 10 regulars comes in. Gets their food. Another table of 8 townies comes in. They getall their food. I am still waiting. Finally it comes out. It was ok. I don't mind waiting for outstanding food. That didn'thappen. If I had ate the salad and left 5 stars. Alas I waited out my meal. When I paid at the counter the cashier acted realput out by my existence. If you ain't from here maybe try someplace else for lunch. Read more

I love Jo's Pizza, but had never visited this location. We rolled in here on a Saturday for lunch with 34 boy scouts in tow, ... having called the evening before and warned them of our pending invasion and food order. Everything was perfect. I understandthat nearly 3 dozen smelly scouts after a week of camping in 100 degrees might not be everyone's favorite thing, but theservice was outstanding. The entire restaurant made us feel like they were thrilled we were there. Drink orders were efficientand promptly delivered, the bathrooms were immaculate, the servers were friendly and super attentive. But hey, you'reinterested in the food. This is the best thin crust, heavily topped pizza you can buy. And while the Edmond location is ourusual hangout spot, the crust here is crispier and tastier. It's almost like the oven is just a touch hotter here in Purcell, and we love them for it. Thank you, Famous Jo's, for treating our Boy Scouts so well. We'll be back! Read more

I had not been here in years and was in the area and decided to stop by because my wife had never been. Needless to say I was... highly disappointed and will probably never be back. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and told to sit wherever we liked. Waitress showed up promptly and took our drink order but then it became very hard to get her attention when my wife wanted herdrink changed to something else. She finally came back and took our order and swapped the drink with no issues. When our foodcame we realized we hadn't been given any plates so again tried to find our Waitress but couldn't and ended up having to walk tothe front and ask for some. The place wasn't super busy so that wasn't the issue. The garlic cheese bread was good but as we ateit we agreed that it was a small amount for the price. But once we started on the pizza thats when our total outlook changed. The crust was bland and borderline overcooked, the sauce had virtually no taste and the cheese and toppings had a very odd aftertaste that reminded me of a frozen pizza, like they had been thawed out. My wife wasn't able to finish even one whole piece. Itwas very very disappointing for sure. I had heard the prices had went up and the menu confirmed that. Growing up Jo's was alwaysa treat to get to come too and to see and taste the difference in quality was kinda hard. I hate to give such a low review but Ijust didn't enjoy my visit or the food at all. Read more
