Very delicious German fare! We had the weißwurst, spätzel, tomato & mozzarella sandwich, and finished with an amazing... apfelstrüdel ???? The weißwurst was juicy and full of flavor. The bierkäse with the spätzel was SO good! And the strüdel... Tender pastry, full of flavor. We will look forward to our next visit! Dankeschön Sandra & Heather! Read more

My husband and I have been searching for "authentic" German cuisine since returning from our trip to Germany/Austria last year.... Unfortunately we're in an area of the country that doesn't have much to offer. On our recent visit to his parents in BradentonFL, I was looking to see what was in the area. I saw the appetizer Flammkutchen. We'd had that at Heidelberg Castle, and I'venot seen it on any other German restaurant menu. So, I said that's the one we're going to try! I can say it was absolutely worththe 45 minute drive!!!! We brought his parents with us, and of course they loved the food too. But for my husband and I itbrought back such fun memories of spending 2.5 weeks in Germany & Austria. Thank you for an enjoyable evening! We'll come backfor sure and we'll plan it when you have live music ???? Read more

Wow!! The food here is incredible and super flavorful. And the service is top notch! But I have to say I wasn?t expecting the... cocktails to be as delicious . I would come here even just for the drinks. Worth a visit for sure - A hidden gem! Also the applestrudel is the best in town. Read more

When I made the reservation Sandra was so upbeat and personable, I just knew I had to try this place. My neighbors, from... Babcock Ranch, joined me and off we went. The restaurant decor and atmosphere were phenomenal. There is a Biergarten outsidebut the weather was a bit too cool for us to enjoy it. We arrived about 45 minutes earlier than expected but no problem, thehostess seated us and the fun was just beginning. I had a liter of beer, my lady friends had a beer and an iced tea. The buzzin the room was upbeat and the laughter so enjoyable. We started with the Kraut Balls, a double order, and loved them!!! Theywere served with a horseradish sauce that was not overpowering, rather, flavor enhancing. Next came the main course. Thespecial looked delicious but I had Jaeger Schnitzel with German Potato Salad and Spatzle. Fantastic. One neighbor had the sameexcept she had potato pancakes instead of spatzle, and we shared the cakes and potato salad tastes with each other. Utopia. Ifyou miss the opportunity to dine at this restaurant then I guess that means more for me!! Don?t forget the apple strudel fordessert!!! Sandra, thank you for a great evening and everything was absolutely fantastic. We will be back. Next time with awhole bunch of people! Xoxo Read more

I was a skeptic at first until the first bite of a German restaurant in Punta Gorda. Everything we had was as if we were... transported over seas. The European sampler hit my European heritage on the dot with a perfectly cooked schnitzel, bratwurst anda flavorful goulash. Service was a little slow at fiarse but understandable during these times. Drinks were on point and thecranberry bread pudding dessert finished off the meal perfectly. Read more

Not bowled over by this place, everything is Okay but nothing is lip-smacking good where your savoring flavors that have you... wanting to come back time and time again for more. Deep fried sauerkraut balls (2 for $8.99) two golf ball sized said to befilled with cheese and sausage...I guess ???? served with mild horseradish sauce are pretty good. Bavarian pretzel doughy, chewy comes with sweet mustard which is a nice condiment also asked for some beer cheese dipping sauce, was charged $2.99 for asmall ladle full. Nothing to rave about. Entrees of bratwürst with red cabbage and German style (warm) potato salad, Bratskinda meh, sorta like a oversized breakfast sausage, potato salad was good, favorite item on the plate. Goulash as advertised, nice portion of stew over plain tasteless spatzel noodles perfectly fine dish but boring after the 3rd forkful. Also tried aside of potato pancakes(2 for $3.99) worst thing we ate, small greasy disks of shredded potato saturated in frying oil servedwith Apple sauce. Washed it all down with cheap tasting dry Reisling wine ($8.25 a glass) which was an affront to the pallet. That knocked a star off the rating right there. Service was pleasant, they settle your check right at the table. For a Saturdaynight prime time, in season, many tables not turned over. Didn't enjoy it enough to say I'd go back. ($90 for 2 w/tip) Read more
