Very glad this restaurant came during our travel to Colorado springs. Very nice location very nice gift stop and excellent... customer service. We had a short 10 minute wait which they alerted us with text messaging and others with intercom pages. Theyhave many wonderful lunch specials starting at 6.99 and. up. Upon check out we were offered chocolate covered almonds two bagsfor $2. What a deal!. Browsing through their awesome gift shop we also purchased two Denver bronco jackets at a very reasonableprice. Be sure to make this a stop for lunch or dinner or breakfast by the way which they serve all day long during yourColorado travels. Read more
I?m not going to lie, this was some of the nastiest food I?ve tasted in a while. It was supposed to be meat loaf and mashed... potatoes with gravy. Well no gravy and meat loaf was not fully cooked but didn?t realize it until I tasted it and lookeddeeper. The man that came to the curbside to bring my order was rude, (doesn?t surprise me). I?m kinda upset because I waslooking forward to this. I didn?t even get a refund or complain because it seems like the tempo of this place is kind of rude. I?m just going to throw it away. So the wait time for a table was right at an hour (I used the time we checked in with the hostess to the time we sat down),... which I guess is about right for a Sunday lunch post-church crowd. But once we were seated, our food came out within 15minutes! Hubby ordered the Cracker Barrel Sampler which was HUGE! He was expecting just a taste of meatloaf, ham, dumplings,Mac and cheese, okra and mashed potatoes with brown gravy, but it was full sized portions of each! Not complaining, theydefinitely give you your money?s worth. I ordered the fried chicken tenders which comes with two or three sides, I got greenbeans and mashed potatoes with no gravy. The green beans were so good, tasted like they?re cooked with ham. My little got maxand cheese, I sampled it and yes, it?s super tasty. Not made from a box for sure, we?re talking homemade. We received cornmuffins and a biscuit, those never disappoint. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. All in all, not bad and I can?t evendeduct a star for the wait because we knew there would be a wait. I even bought some road-trip jelly bellies from the shop.Great restaurant and tasty food! I personally liked the fried catfish, wasn't the best or near as good as mine but it wasn't bad. The shrimp were horrible! The... fryer employee must have gotten too busy, took his eye off of them and they burned. They were battered and fried so hard myfingers couldn't pinch them. Showed the waiter and insisted he show his boss. They were removed from the ticket. Every singlevisit I've had at any Cracker Barrel has been a good one. Good food, relaxed atmosphere, good prices and portions. The storehas cornbread mix i use in my stuffing during Thanksgiving. ???? Nice shop and fun trinkets, postcards, chocolates, hardcandies, books, clothes, cards, Lodge cast iron pans, etc. One can even purchase a child or adult sized wooden rocking chairfrom the lineup of them on the front porch of the store. This was my first time eating at Cracker Barrel and I LOVED IT! The quantity of food for the price was excellent! And of course... the food was great! But probably the highlight of our visit was our server Jaque! She was so sweet and attentive. She was alwaysthere when we needed attention, but not so often that she was obnoxious! She was willing to get us anything and had greatsuggestions! I'm not from Pueblo, but I'd be willing to travel to Pueblo to eat at THIS Cracker Barrel if Jaque was certain tobe my waitress again!
