Reviews for Spicy Thai in Provo, UT
I love that this restaurant is owned by a little family where the grandma is from Thailand and the food is all her original... recipes. This is what real restaurants used to be!! Everything was delicious and plated so cute. We got the lunch specials, pineapple curry and masman curry. The pineapple curry is my absolute favorite! It was just the right amount of food for feelingsatisfied with no leftovers. The egg roll and spring roll are missing from my pictures because they just looked so delicious, weate them before remembering to take a picture. I?m impressed. We went Saturday night at 6pm, they are understaffed, but their staff is working way hard, running from table to... table making sure no one has to wait. Food didn?t disappoint. Was hot and fresh. Really impressed. Read more
Good food, but on the bland side, so order spicy up from where you normally do. The serving staff is nice and attentive.
I feel torn on what to review Spicy Thai.. I had been years ago and remembered it being good. I came with some friends on a... Friday evening. The restaurant was packed! We waited about 10 minutes before a table was ready - no big deal. Our waiter tookawhile to come and ask us what we wanted to drink. We browsed the menu and knew quickly what we all wanted to order. It tookaround 15 minutes for our waiter to come back after giving us our drinks and order our food. My husband and I ordered the eggrolls, pad Thai, and massman curry. The appetizer took around 20 minutes to come out, followed by the food about 20 moreminutes. I know that it was a Friday night but the restaurant isn't that big. I don't know why it took so long to get our drinksand food. Our waiter brought the food and brought us the wrong curry. We had to ask for our massman curry. It was shortlybrought out with no apology. The eggs rolls were tasty. They were very hot and full of filling. The chili sauce was the perfectamount of sweet and heat. The pad Thai was very good. It was a very generous portion and full of chicken - which was a greatsurprise. The peanuts added a good texture. I was very impressed with this. The massman curry was only okay. It wasn't thatflavorful and tasted like it was lacking or missing something. I did appreciate how much chicken was in it but would've liked tosee more carrots and potatoes. The rice was cooked well. The food was nice and hot when it came out. It was very fresh. Thereason for the three stars in the service. As mentioned above, it took awhile for all the food to come out. Our drinks werenever refilled. After we got our food, our waiter never checked on us. We finished eating and had to ask a different waiter forboxes and our checks. The service needs to improve. I will be back for the food though. Read more
The lunch special is the bomb! Only $7.99 and you get an appetizer, an entree, and soup. The Tomka Kai coconut soup is the best.... I order the ginger salad extra, and the roasted coconut juice. Read more

Spicy Thai is my favorite spot in Utah to grab some Red Curry. Highly recommend also picking up a chicken satay with the pean it... sauce. Flavor is phenomenal and the potion sizes are perfect. They?ve also updated and improved their menus recently which is areally nice touch. The pineapple yellow curry is also a delicious option if you?re looking for something that?s more sweet thanspicy.
