There are a lot of little snow cone shops here in Utah. Not so many that I consider legitimate shaved ice like the refreshing... treat I fell in love with in Hawaii. HOKULIA SHAVE ICE is the real thing. Literally shaved from a block of ice using a sharpblade which creates an Ice that is more coarse and more substantial than the snow that others offer. They have 50 differentflavors that you can choose from as toppings with 1000's of combinations. I ordered the smaller cup and it was a lot to eat.Such a tasty way to experience "brain freeze." Our family of 5 shared the largest size shave ice and added ice cream to the middle and a snocap (condensed milk) and it was... amazing! We could barely all finish it. Love that the tables have cup holders cut into them to hold the shave ice cups -- camein handy with our shared cup.and little children (no major spills!). I've never been much for shave ice, but Hokulia was so good I'm already wanting to go back again. I got the strawberry colada... flavor with mango ice cream and it was amazingly delicious. Perfect summer treat! Huge portions too, and plenty of seating.10/10 Read more
