This place will have you sitting for hour drive thru !! No way contacting no management to file complaints!! They serve food... uncooked meat looks dry !! Milkshakes come tasting like if milkshake mix expired bitter taste !! No sanitation been done herecros contamination all over the foods some one shoulf really look into this before people become start getting real sick. As others stated...seems like owners just abandoned it to employees with no leadership. 1. Stop touching the straws and putting... them into drinks..this is not 1950. 2. " Ketchup only" on a cheeseburger doesn't mean no cheese.... hamburger=no cheese:cheeseburger=cheese. 3. Using tamper proof stickers on the side of a bag does nothing for tamper resistance. Waited in drive thru for more than 20 minutes with only 2 cars ahead of me. Not serving inside so that shouldn?t have been an... issue. Got to window given wrong order. Had ordered 3 shakes which were not good . More whipped cream than ice cream. Servertold us her machine was not working good ordered chocolate shake because they had no malt. It was like a vanilla shake. Mygrandsons Kit Kat shake was the same. Will never patronize them again. Tried to call to speak to manager no answer. Poor poorservice and product. Read more
The service was rude and my shake was disgusting. I ordered a butterfinger shake that had NO butterfinger pieces on top, tasted... like peppermint and it had a very dirty lid. Which of course I didn't realize until I drank like half of it!!! NEVER AGAIN!!???????? Read more
I came to this Steak n? Shake with my mom and youngest son (4). When you come to a steak n? shake, you have to understand that... your expectations are reflective of a meal at a pseudo fast-food restaurant. We received good service from a friendly server.The food was not the best for a steak ?n shake. My burger seemed a bit undercooked but I also like my stuff more well-done ingeneral. My kid?s Mac n? Cheese wasn?t as good as we?ve had at other locations either. I hope the next time we visit thislocation I can adjust my review to a higher rating. Read more
I feel bad writing this because I've always loved Steak 'n Shake, but the drive thru service for my girlfriend and I tonight was... terrible. First of all, a line of 5 cars should not take close to a half hour to serve. For the most part, my order was fine,but my girlfriend's burger did not even have a fully formed burger pattie and the lettuce looked weeks old and wilted. Ourshakes were decent, but my cookie dough shake had a very obvious taste of peppermint that made me feel like equipment was notbeing cleaned often enough. Apart from that, the plastic wrap my spoon came wrapped in was open on one end and that is simplyunacceptable when restaurants have put in extra health and safety measures during the pandemic. Love this steak n shake in Mount Prospect! Open 24 hours, clean, great for quick burgers or if your craving a milk shake! I... thought and I'd try something different and order their footlong dog..so.good. I asked for grilled onions on top, best requestever. Washed it down with a reese's peanut butter cup shake. My husband got the Wisconsin butter burger.Good size, good price. Read more
