Best Chinese food in the greater Waterbury area. Consistent with flavor of dishes, highly recommend the pork lo mein, veggie... fried rice or Mongolian beef. The general tso’s chicken is amazing, not overly spicy or overcooked. The owner and staff arefriendly and accommodating. The only criticism I would convey is that their small container of rice is extra small. If theycould start doing a regular small size , then I would have no complaints at all. Read more

I am so upset I have been ordering from anywhere else all this time!! The food is wonderful!! So thoughtfully made. The crab... ragoons are perfect- no terribly hard edges you can't bite through. The spicy tofu/veggie actually had a little spice to it! (Ifind things described as spicy hardly ever are) veggies are definitely fresh rather than canned or frozen (this is a big deal tome) Etc. The staff are so friendly. They learn your name and are polite. I was a little confused when I went to pick up- youdrive around the building to the lane closes to the building to pick up/pay. We've tried all of the Chinese food restaurants in the area and Golden Wok is by far the best quality. It is a little strange... going through an old bank drive through to pick up your food, but it's very efficient. Read more
Ultimately, the food has potential. I had the Kung Pao Chicken w/ Pork Fried Rice, an egg roll, and Fried Shrimp. The Kung Pao... Chicken was not bad, but some of the vegetables weren't cooked as much as I'd like. The fried rice was ok but it was a tad bitbland and dry, although the pork was flavored very nicely. The Shrimp didn't have much flavor and I felt they were a bitundercooked for my liking. The egg rolls had a nice crunchy exterior but the flavor of them wasn't to my liking either. Overallfor the price I was unsatisfied, but overall not a bad place. Both the service and the food was decent. I just have a differenttaste I'm looking for. I would suggest giving them a try. Excellent all around! Never any mistakes with my orders, I love the convenience of the drive through window for pick up, food is... incredible- love the chicken teriyaki on the sticks and the pan seared dumplings!!, and the customer service is great! Read more
