The food was delicious. Our server was not great. We were served our meal and was not approached again until we were done... eating. We would have loved a refill on our drinks. The hostess was AMAZING! She was the hardest worker in there from what wecould see. She deserves a raise! Read more
Stopped in for takeout, wait staff couldn?t be nicer! We had two western sandwiches which were huge and delicious and the... coffee was great too. Highly recommend. Also, cleanest stop we have seen on our travels! Read more
It's a truck stop restaurant. It was very busy, packed full. My skillet was dry and my girlfriend didn't like her eggs. Portions... weren't bad and it's the only place I've ever stood in line for a washroom. Honestly it was what I expected. Read more

Quick stop off the highway. I had the seafood chowder with a fresh roll, which was just excellent. My friend had broccoli soup... and western sandwich. The sandwich filling was huge. This place caters to travellers. They have parking for RVs, semi tractortrailers, showers available, small convenience store. Very well done. Read more
Stopped here for the first time today. It was a busy spot but did not take too long for food to arrive. Staff was friendly, even... the ones not waiting on our table. For a landlocked restaurant serving seafood, the food was right decent. I had the fish andchips as that is usually the first thing I order in a new restaurant. There was an option for 1, 2, or 3 pieces of fish. Iordered two as I am used to two pieces being enough, although I should have ordered three. But the prices were good and fair,the batter on the fish was excellent, although it did get soggy quickly, which is normal with fresh fish. The fish was cookedperfectly and would have preferred homemade tarter sauce, but the little packets provided were ok. Would i come back here again,YES, We prefer to patronise family owned restaurents instead of franchise places, but next time I will order three pieces offish as I like to fill my belly.Thank-you Acorn restaurant for the good food, good prices and really good service. We came here for the comfort food and left with a side of heart attack ? was shocked by how much salt was in the gravy and... stuffing! Normally it?s not that heavy but maybe they were getting ready to store it since we came in at last shift. Servicewas a bit lackluster but maybe everyone was tired from the big rush earlier.
